Hmm I think the option of Fury injury is too specific. It could be anything:

Injury
Mental health
COVID
Pregnancy number 8
Illness of a distant relative
Unexpected legal troubles
Caravan fire

Yep it will happen.
But better question will be - when will it happen?

Unless there is something like a 6-9 month deadline on collecting the £164 million for the 3 fights, then I really cant see Fury v Usyk happening anytime before March 2024.

He's hoping to see someone else dethrone Usyk first because he doesn't fancy the style matchup.

Rumour is that Fury is seeing a fright counsellor to overcome his cowardice

You told us a week or so ago that Fury would never fight another boxer again. Do you still think that you’re in the know?

Would'nt hold me breath , i doubt it just don't think he fancys it , besides he said he wanted out of his netflix contract offere to buy his way out , , so in Tyson Fury languge that probably means he's signed up for series 2 for more money .

Will it happen , personaly i doubt it , BUT I hope i'm wrong , do know one thing if it does'nt and i mean does'nt get signed soon HE SHOULD BE STRIPPED OF HIS BELT

Can there be a contract dispute? Isn’t that all agreed and signed?

There'll be so much money involved I can't see any of the promoters or bodies walking. I give it a 1 in 3 shot.

I hope it doesn’t happen. The sooner boxing is rid of all the Furys the better. Just a bunch of vermin who drain the sport of any last remaining credibility it clings onto.

Yep. The wheels have fallen off the Fury bandwagon now, and social media is full of potential knitting circle members.
Of course, as we see here - there is a very small hardcore hard of thinking Fury fan Bois still repeating their silly little comments .. but even their numbers are shrinking. Our Micky doesn't post under that name anymore .. it's just Doofy, Dev and Marc nowadays.

I am sure Fury is clever enough to realise there is a window of opportunity to earn the big money, and a shrinking fan base is an indicator of that.
So for that reason I feel he will definitely fight Usyk next .. just unsure when that will actually be.

Looks like everyone is on the same page, so barring injury or Fury changing his mind I think it will happen.

I went contract dispute, although probably it will be something more imaginative.. There’s some serious optimists on here saying it’s definitely happening. The guys not even really got a trainer anymore. I certainly think next time when supposedly the fight is ‘on’ and Fury has no trainer, no camp, no proper sparring booked people will be quicker to smell a rat! Netflix show renewed. Come on!

The Ngannou show is just a pre-fight camp for Fury. Just something to distract him from the beer/burgers/powder and enable him to gently tick over doing his walk/jogs up Morecambe promenade and tap out some 10 second pad or bag work.

There is plenty of time to get a trainer or coach in, and sparring partners won't be a problem given the £164 million available.

Money is clearly Fury's motivation so he won't be avoiding that.

Will there be drug testing for the Ngannou fight? Or is that not required because its an exhibition?

I do think it will happen now. I didn't before but think the money on offer has delivered the fight. I reckon it will be the 23rd December.
