10 rounds to 2!!!!!

Even the most ardent Fury hater would give him more than 2 rounds

And AI will be orchestrating our lives before long, progress........

I doubt even the biggest Fury haters would say it was that one sided.

The score alone doesn't necessarily mean it was a completely one-sided fight. There can be 12 close rounds in a fight and one fighter can win all 12 of them. A few punches more in each round can be enough.

I found the AI scoring very interesting, it's still up on YouTube. They let it "watch" the main card live and it's amazing how much more accurate it is than compubox for punch stats for example.

Yeah I get that but it makes it appear
more one sided than it was. I’m not sure scoring would be taken over by AI, would they just have one computer scoring it or three different AI all scoring it in different ways? Punch stats aren’t great either

Hopefully not. AI is not very good at contextualising. There's a lot of ebbs and flows in a single round of a fight.

I think one of the things which benefitted Usyk, was that he was on the front foot the majority of the fight, except for maybe 2 rounds, rightly, he was getting credit for being the one chasing Fury down.

I think that's more an issue of the scoring system than anything else. Or not an issue, really. It's part of the sport, you know you have to win rounds to win on points and what you did last round shouldn't have any impact on how the current round is scored. Pitty rounds lead to bad scorecards.

Search for "Fury x Usyk AI Live Stats Streaming" on YouTube, you can see the final stats for the fight at the end of the stream if that's all you are interested in. It shows exactly who landed where and when (you can watch it the same time as you watch the fight) and also looks at the impact of punches, pressure and aggression.

I really think Deep Strike is already more reliable than compubox for punch stats. Obviously far from perfect, it's still in beta and one of the issues I have is that it can only see what you can see on TV. But it's already better than a lot of professional judges who just score as much as possible for the promoter's boy to stay in favour with them.

Boxing is so corrupt, I doubt any of the bigger promoters or organizations would want to eliminate human scoring. But AI scoring is already very advanced. Give it four (or more) different cameras with different angles to watch, make adjustments along the way and it could be extremely helpful to the sport.

Watched the fight in full last night - I really cannot see how anyone scored it for Fury.

1 - Usyk
2 - Usyk
3 - Usyk
4 - Fury
5 - Fury
6 - Fury
7 - Fury
8 - Usyk
9 - Usyk 10-8
10 - Usyk
11 - Usyk
12 - Usyk.

116 - 111 Usyk. Can see potentially (at most) two of my Usyk rounds being "swing" rounds - but even so - that would still make Usyk a one point winner due to the KD. I really cannot see though a third Fury swing round.

Pretty sure that's nearly identical to me, except I gave Fury the 3rd round.

Yeah the 3rd and 12th round - could be potenially fury's but that is all. 114-113 Usyk is the worse that can be scored for the Ukrainian.

Its always easier watching and scoring after the fight , in the heat of the moment if its exciting its harder , at the end i said to a few , Usyk by the ninth rnd being a 10-8 ,, said won't be suprised if its a draw , but Furys not won ,, i fully expected a draw , was happy to see Usyk win thought the right discison was made

What was worrying that had the ref allowed usyk to try and ko fury and not administer the count… it would have been a majority draw…which would have been a terrible call.

well it's possible usyk wouldve knocked him to the canvas or worse if he was allowed to tee off on fury while fury was basically a noodle on the ropes, but who knows, usyk couldve also slipped trying to take out the giant noodle

but ya it's a good point that the point for the count is what made the difference, it didnt screw usyk

I know I'm poor at scoring, but was the main reason Fury dropped the first 3 because he gave up centre ring? I was trying to explain it to a borderline casual mate. Otherwise to me, the first 3 would've been very close. I scored them to Usyk on ring generalship. Without that, I couldn't see much in them.

I gave it exactly the same but, 2, 3 and 12 to Fury.
Nevertheless I still think Fury should have been stopped in the 9th so I def think the right man won.

okay, previously you said you'd given fury the first 7. now you're saying you also gave him 12. so that would be 8-4 (116-112) with 1 off for the kd = 115-112 fury
