I have a funny feeling about it too - the way Joyce crumbled in the second fight with Zhang, suggested to me that his punch resistance might have been permanently damaged.

Chisora by contrast, whilst slower, and less energetic, still seems quite durable, it could be a really ugly fight, with Chisora wading in eating shots for quite a few rounds, and then landing a big looping shot that flattens Joyce.

Joyce should jack it in, he's really go nowhere to go now. He's likely to take a lot of beatings now at this stage of proceedings.
TBH i feel Chisora should have packed in a while back and this would clear the way for the young guns comin thru but he is a greedy bugger and wont give it up .

I dont care much for the fight but of course will watch it

I won't simply because of the time it will be on here early morning and not one i consider worth setting the alarm for , then no doubt i'll come on here and once i know the result i won;t bother with it .

Pointless fight and boring fight

Beating Chisora now proves absolutely nothing. I wish Chisora would go away.

What is a better fight for the pair of them?

For Joyce: chis is as big a name as he can expect right now.

For chiz: Joyce is as good a guy that he is a chance at beating right now.

I think Whyte is a better fight for both, his name to ability ratio is off the charts right now I suspect. But outside of that and retirement (a good option for both) I feel this is as good a matchup as possible. Winner is feezable for another big fight. Loser retires.

Now, Mabey both should retire. But that’s about it.

They will earn decent money probably but it's not going to open up any title shots for the winner, that's if they want titles ?

It's a good fight for Chisora, because if he wins it's a nice notch on his belt and, once Usyk gets inevtiably stripped of a title, whichever bum wins the vacant belt would love an easy but credible defence against him.

It does nothing for Joyce though. Everyone and their mums has beat Chisora. So what?

On the one hand I think this is a completely pointless fight as Chis is completely shopworn now, but on the other it’s possibly an interesting yardstick to see how much JJ has left. I think the ghost of Whyte would’ve made more sense.

I might consider going to this, depending on the undercard.

If all the support fights are pure pish I won't be bothering, but I feel like they might put something on there?

I've always really liked Joe but he looked completely shot to me in his last fight .
Hope I'm wrong and he gives Chisora a fight .
What the hell Chisora is still fighting for is anyone's guess , he's payed his dues to the game and should get out with faculties intact.

Joyce has nothing to gain from this fight. If he wins then everyone will say Chisora is well past it and should hang ‘em up, and if he loses then he has absolutely nowhere to go. For Chisora, if he continues to look durable in taking a one-sided loss he’ll continue to get similar opportunities, but if he wins he pushes himself up in the rankings a bit and can maybe get a bigger fight next time out.

I think that Joyce’s punch resistance has gone and Chisora will get a stoppage here late in the fight.

I think Chisora's Joyce's biggest option for a big name win that doesn't pose much of a threat. I think the problem is that he doesn't have the time to rebuild his record with one sided wins. He needs to have a few top 15 fights really soon if he wants any chance of a title shot or a big cash out fight before he retires.

the question is.....

would Chisora and Joyce both take care of Wardley and Big Fraze? Not an easy question to answer is it.

I dont think so. Therefore this fight is barely or is round about British title level.

The public are being sold a sports car with a fiat panda engine.

I think Joyce still handles them both comfortably, unless his chin is completely gone, which I don't think we've seen evidence of yet. I think Chisora likely starts fast, wins a few rounds, before getting KO'd by both.

I agree re health mate, you are right. 2 strokes, heart failure and 2 spinal surgeries in my 30s. I left previous career in 2018 as it was killing me. It is ironic I'm cheering someone else on who is risking his health but would not be giving myself or loved ones the same advice. You're right.

Pretty sure you haven’t beaten Del Boy. Stop the Hot Fuzz quotations.
Joe has probably realised he jumped to too late.
Cash out quick now.
Del Bog happy to oblige.
That’s all.

Joyce needs a fight back, can't stick him in against a top level contender first.
If it goes well he will be ready for a bigger job

I think Del Boy just likes fighting!

The purses won't be peanuts either
