It is an undercard? The main event is Craig Richards I think. Having said that it’s a poor fight from Zuffa

The textbook padded record of a soft hitting, soft target.

People saying they thought it was going to be Ajagba ffs.
Despite this I always think if it goes past the 4th round and the other guy has in any way half decent stamina then Fisher can find a way to lose.

Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
Johnny Fisher is not a good heavyweight.
Most of us could name fifteen British heavyweights we’d rate above him.
The problem for Zuffa Boxing is that all the big-name British heavyweights are tied to rival promoters, mainly Queensberry, with a few at Matchroom.
Even the heavyweights who have recently fought, or are due to fight, under the Zuffa banner — such as Usyk, Ajagba, Dychko and Martin — would be favoured against Fisher.
Let’s face it, Johnny Fisher is a promotional nightmare. He’s a commercially popular fighter, but if you match him against big names to headline events, then he’s going to keep losing and become the next Dave Allen.
The alternative is to match him against Mark De Mori-style opposition, as per his next outing against Michael Pirotton, with his bouts being inevitably mocked by hardcore boxing aficionados (due to his handlers matching him against journeymen to prevent further losses on his resume).
Speaking of Dave Allen, a decent plan would be to keep Fisher active for the next eighteen months, then build towards a rematch with the “White Rhino”.
Allen’s terrible performance against Filip Hrgović suggests his resilience has gone, giving “The Romford Bull” a real chance to avenge his only defeat — especially if (in 1½ years time) age has caught up with a 36-year-old past-his-prime version of the “White Rhino” without any durability or love for the sport.

Said it for a long time , WHY oh WHY , do promoters put there good money up to BUY easy wins for someone who obviously has not got the goods , when theres lots of fighters out there with the goods who cannot get a sniff in , really got me stumped .
Give Hearn is due at least he has refused to do it , if its true what he said in an interview , about Fisher only wanting easy fights and refusing decent fights

Re: Johnny Fisher vs. TBA | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
Honestly, i dont care about this Fisher guy. This fight just make him more pathetic. Just hoped for decent heavyweight fight. To this day, all Zuffa cards were nice. This one is trash
Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
Pirotton seems OK as an opp. He's very light-punching but can move. You don't want anyone landing on Fisher's chin just yet...but it's almost inevitable.
I'd say Fisher stops him inside 4

all true but it's entertaining. people have been paying to see this foreverJamesPhilips wrote: ↑19 Aug 2026, 11:40I guess the 'Romford Army' is still numerous enough to ensure good ticket sales. As to the boxing fan…. Not much except maybe the 'rebuilding of exciting, big punching and hugely popular ticket seller the Romford bull' (read in Adam Smith voice….)
EDIT - after rewatching the Balaz fight I’d forgotten how chinny Fisher is. I really enjoyed his feint followed by clinch combo

As overrated as Benn is, I think Fisher is worse. He's not earning as much though. This is surely more than Allen's earned in a single fight as well. Crazy money. The things that can happen when you're dad's a cringe influencer.

Fisher is the ultimate internet / social media boxer. He would be just a southern area fighter and have decent but less significant ticket sales without the web. Still I can’t hate on him for taking advantage of the situation. Fisher should definitely retire after his next loss.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑21 Aug 2026, 15:22He’s definitely worse. Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
fisher was being talked up for a while, around the time he beat babic. it was feasible at one point to think there was good potential for him to improve, but he hasn't been getting better. still clumsy and uncomfortable in there, and can't take a good shot + has gassed. he's like david price but without the substantially better skills price had
i remember when people thought he must be teak tough because he sparred tough with joe joyce - another example that sparring isnt the same thing.
tbf to johnny, he is entertaining. i guess being vulnerable will do that. but i expect we'll be seeing him chinned a few more times

Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
Fisher focused on Pirotton, not Zuffa's blueprint for him
Johnny Fisher wants to showcase the results of a year spent training under Tony Sims when he fights Belgium’s Michael Pirotton on September 26.
Just over 12 months have passed since Fisher left his longtime trainer, Mark Tibbs, and joined up with Sims.
Sky Sports will broadcast Fisher’s 10-round heavyweight clash with Pirotton, his second fight since switching trainers, from Copper Box Arena in London. Paramount+ will also stream the card headlined by Fisher-Pirotton in the United States.
The new partnership got off to a rocky start.
Fisher was badly hurt in the opening round of his fight with Ivan Balaz on December 6 in Monte Carlo. For a few desperate minutes, his career hung in the balance.
To his credit, the 27-year-old Fisher pulled himself together and stopped the previously undefeated Slovak in the fourth round.
Those helter-skelter rounds will have taught Sims more about Fisher’s strengths and weaknesses than any number of pad or sparring sessions. The two have spent the past nine months working out how to add a little more guile to Fisher’s style without sacrificing the qualities that make him effective.
“I feel I’ve been working a lot of different stuff with Tony in the gym,” Fisher (14-1, 12 KOs) said as he came face to face with Pirotton (12-2, 6 KOs) for the first time in a Sky Sports segment. “I’m rolling a bit more, just getting my boxing brain working a little bit more, but I’m not going to lose what I am, which is super aggressive, explosive, come forward, because that’s my power. My strength is my power, so I’m going to make sure I use that on September the 26th.”
Fisher hasn’t boxed at Copper Box since he was stopped in the fifth round of his rematch with Dave Allen in May 2025. His large, loyal fanbase is expected to make the short journey from Essex to support him against the largely unknown Pirotton.
The fight will also be Fisher’s first under the Zuffa Boxing banner. The emerging promotional company fronted by UFC president and CEO Dana White hopes he can repay its investment in him and provide it with a series of high-profile nights as Zuffa looks to establish itself in the British boxing market.
Fisher is fully aware of the plans that are being put in place for him, but he refuses to look beyond the fight with Pirotton.
“Listen, your next fight is always the most important fight,” Fisher said. “I’ve got a man in front of me with ambition, who has got a good record and fought only a few days ago. So, I’ve got to be super fit, super focused, and one thing is for sure – in Tony Sims’s gym, I’ll definitely be both of them things.”

Apart from Conor Benn's whole career. I would be more inclined to believe Fisher got offered a better deal, than Hearn suddenly developed a conscience about delivering proper fights for the fansconeye wrote: ↑21 Aug 2026, 02:35 Said it for a long time , WHY oh WHY , do promoters put there good money up to BUY easy wins for someone who obviously has not got the goods , when theres lots of fighters out there with the goods who cannot get a sniff in , really got me stumped .
