It's likely a record, unless Edwin Valero can match it...or maybe Young Otto...around 42 first round knockouts in total, so he likely can match Brunson.

Has anyone watched Brunson fight? 18 straight first round knockouts, but I wonder if he may be a top-notch fighter...as Valero turned out to be...power-wise anyway!

I always thought Jorge Castro was a bit underrated. He was clearly limited and was never going to beat a Roy Jones caliber fighter, but he wasn't given a second look by the super middleweight and lt. heavy champions after losing his middleweight title in 1995. It was ludicrous that he had to wait five more years for a title shot and then it came against JC Gomez at cruiserweight. He fought three years or so in the super middleweight, lt. heavy range and couldn't get a sniff at a title shot. After losing the middleweight title in 1995, he was 17-1-1 over the next five years and couldn't get a shot until he moved up 23 pounds to take on Gomez. Not saying he would have beaten the super middleweight/lt. heavy champs at the time, but after the amazing John David Jackson fight in 1994, I wouldn't have felt comfortable betting against him

How did you guys come up with these figures? Is there a database that has a large number of fights easy to manipulate? I saw mgpaul's site, it's good for that. Boxrec has a ton of information that would be much more useful if it was easier to sort. I wish it had a list of all of the fighters by height and date of birth along with its current lists.

One of the judges, Judge Rolf Neuhold scored 75-75 in the Carmelo Bossi-Jose Hernandez 15 round Junior Middleweight Championship bout. He scored every round even. (5 points went to the winner of each round, 4 or less to the loser)

Angelo Poletti in Duran-Leonard I (Angelo Poletti scored it 148-147, that's 10 even rounds, 3-2-10)

Also, Shark Ishihara beat Tadafumi Miura by the scores of 100-99, 98-97, 100-100.
