All-Time Lists Thread! Most wins, Most KO's, Most Bouts, Etc

Post by barry »

I noticed that we often have people asking about lists such as "Who had the most career knockouts" and other different stats and figured that it might be good to try to keep it all to one thread, so lets see how this works. Since most lists are always an ongoing project additions and corrections would be helpful. I just wish the format here was the same as in word. I'll start it out with "Consecutive Knockouts."

--Rodolfo Gonzalez stated that he and stable-mate Efren Torres had at one time a contest going on consecutive knockouts at the start of their careers which he stated that Torres reached somewhere around 28, or 29 straight before having a bout go the distance; Gonzalez went to score 35 straight.

--Kid Chocolate was said to have started out his career with 25 straight knockouts, but recent research has shown that it incorrect.

--Doubtful if the fighters below scored the number of consecutive knockouts that have been listed.

What about Lamar Clark? He had 44 KO's in a row between 1958 and 1960. He should be number one.

Alberto Reyes 19 1950-1951

Barry how do you take into account NC's in the middle of a consecutive KO streak? If that breaks the streak then Reyes only has 19 but if it does not then Reyes has 20.

Great additions!

It is very doubful that Charley Parnam had any long streaks as he lost quiet a bit. I know Ring Record Book use to list him all the time, but I have never seen any record for him that lists him with 28 streat knockouts and being that he fought out of Detroit I don't think that he has many bouts that have not already been recorded.

I got the Rocky Rivero stat from a Ring Record book as well.

It is also very probable that neither Bob Allotey, or Fausto Rodriguez had the consecutive KO's that I have listed...more research is needed.

Most draws ever likely belongs to Young Farrell who boxed out of California during the four-round era. Joe Gorman is probably second. There was a high-rate of draws in California and other short-bout states, due to the shortness of the fights, and the use of the Australian scoring system.
