It would be interesting to know if he’s actually been tested at all since October 2022. America is the heartland of PEDs really with all their testosterone clinics and tame doctors.

Good point, not sure there will be a lot that remember his dad, and again Nigel only had one great win over an American. Not as if Nig was an all time great.

Conor isn't even British standard yet he believes the hype around him. Shame Prince Patel isn't larger in weight. 2 dreamers would make a good fight.

I’d argue Taylor maybe is a little well known due to being with Top Rank, the fights with Ramirez and Prograis etc but Benn can forget it. I was in New York for Joshua v Ruiz and most of the locals didn’t even know there was a fight on.

It’s kind of a game of matchmaking. Benn is good enough to beat faded names, but as soon as he goes in with a genuine world level fighter he’ll get stopped. It’s just a cash-out manipulation really for the promoter.

Fury did good gates against Schwarz and Wallin.

The plan was to maximise the revenue. There wasn’t many people there, that’s probably mostly down to the tickets being really high.

The live gate was still respectable.

I didnt write that, only the first line, think something went wrong when he quoted me Yeah his old man had some very solid wins.

I don’t think many Americans would care that he’s Benn’s son. It was so long ago and Benn Sr, whilst he did have a couple of solid wins was hardly a big name stateside. Doug DeWitt was not exactly a name even in his win country.

The Americans don’t seem to get as excited about the ‘son of’ angle anyway….. loads of sons of greats have fought and not got any special treatment like Eubank and Benn’s sons…. Benn and Eubank are exceptions in many ways even on the UK because of the huge impact and story their dads were in the 1990s. 18 million people watched Benn Eubank 1. It was a phenomenon. Compare that to the lack of noise made by Steve Collins’s son (admittedly very average.) or even Campbell Hatton who got a huge fanfare but it has fizzled out cos he’s so poor.

In America Conor will probably sell 10 tickets on the back of his surname, and those 10 will be purchased by expats…..
