Being Knocked Down by lighter fighters as they are quicker?

"I have been knocked down by guys smaller than him but the difference is I see heavyweight punches a lot quicker. They are also coming from further away so I do not think there will be a problem." - D Haye

Do you guys think this is a valid reason for being knocked down by fighters such as Lolenga Mock? I like David Haye and hope he does the business but I'm not sure that Vlad being slower will mean his chin gets a night off.

It's unlikely Haye will be hit by Klitschko like he was against Mock and Mormeck, looping shots to the temple. Who knows, though, maybe Voloymyr will target the temple?

It's true what Haye says. He's not giving excuses about his chin. He simply stated the difference between fighting two smaller guys and a big guy.

I hope he can see the shots coming and fighting bigger guys does benefit his anticipation of shots! I'm heading over there to watch and I really think he is going to have to make sure he avoids the right hand for the duration of the fight to be successful. I just cannot envisage him taking that shot!! Would absolutely love it (Kevin Keegan Style) if Haye can do it...!

He has a point, but I can't see him avoiding Wlad's punches completely unless he ends it quickly. I think there is a good chance he'll get hurt in this fight, but I still feel he'll be just as dangerous to Wlad as Wlad will be to him. That's why it's such an intriguing fight. Two men with lot's of power and suspect chins.

Body punches could be the key. It hasn't been discussed much, but Wlad doesn't like it to the body either, so if Haye can slam a few right hooks into Wlad's ribs it could really slow him down and open him up to the big right hand on the chin.
