Time will tell, Froch has certainly done his part, the fact the fight will get free exposure on ITV today should benefit him hugely

He can draw pretty well in Nottingham. Surely this will enhance him. Defending his world title on prime time ITV1 and getting ITV to show late, US time for the bigger fights is what needs to happen.

He'll be back on Showtime surely so there could be some decetn TV money, though they'll make him fight someone hard.

I dont think he'll ever be a Hatton ticket-seller, Hatton's a phenomenal one-off. But in boxing terms I rthink Froch already is a half-decent ticket seller, usually does well at Nottingham Arena. I think he can move up a level now and could fill somewhere upto say 20-25k if the fight was decent enough. It's a shame Nottingham aint got a venue like MEN, that would be perfect now for Froch to step up in crowd levels.

Lets just hope he avoids the mistake Junior Witter made (focusing on a guy he isn't going to fight).

If Froch can get a decent opponent, it will be a massive homecoming fight, where ever it is held I'm sure it will sell well, as long as it is backed up by a decent undercard.

frochs as exciting as hatton if not more as he can really dig.

hatton was well promoted & staged & built up a massive following, had he stayed with warren he'd probablly be 70-0 now getting fighters drafted in @ the right time.

Froch isn't Hatton though, nor is he Chris Eubank, Naz, Nigel Benn or Frank Bruno.

There was something about these men- all in different ways- but they could all really sell a fight. Hatton, the chubby "man of the people" who likes his pint, Eubank, the faux upper-class twat, Naz, the remarkably cocky and stylish man of the 90s.... Nigel Benn, the genuinly likeable "warrior" and Frank Bruno, the .... well, Frank Bruno.
