Mayweather coming to London

Post by Boxingmad »

I hear PBF is gonna be in town and is apparently to do a public workout in an "east London boxing gym".

Anyone know what day he's arriving? Sounds like a pretty hectic schedule!

Will it be announced at all at any stage? I just happen to have Friday off + I live only a few minutes from the Peacock Gym and thought it might be there as it's a pretty famous place.

What's the deal with this fight being televised in the UK then? Has anything been signed yet, if they're over here promoting the fight, I'd think they expect to make some decent money out of the UK market. Anyone have any info on who's showing this fight?

Just realised also that the press conference on Thursday is in the hotel next to my work place - how lucky am I.

Eric, just to be clear are you referring to the press conference on today? The consensus seems to be that tomorrow at Peacock is open top all, right?

I expect the gym to be packed to the max and unfortunately Press will get priority whether it's an open workout or not.

The workout is 3pm at the Peacock on Friday. They told me it was definitely a public workout, because that is what Mayweather wanted. However, that is not to say how many will be allowed in because it's not the biggest of places (if big for a boxing gym).

I think the bigger the crowd, the happier they will be - it will make a good scene for 24/7

FLOYD MAYWEATHER OPEN PUBLIC WORKOUT

WHEN: THIS FRIDAY! MAY 22nd AT 3:00pm GMT

Come see Mayweather's first open workout since coming out of retirement!

WHERE: PEACOCK GYM
