Yes, Loynesy got Monzon first. The fiery Argentine scored those 59 knockouts but not one in the first round. He fought the last five years of his career with a bullet lodged in his shoulder.
Kevin also got much of it. The three world champs raised on Marx Street in the Motor City of Detroit were Duane Thomas, Milton McCrory and Jimmy Paul. Thomas was later shot and killed outside a store, Milton McCrory works in a car plant and Paul is a property magnate. Steve McCrory never won a world title, of course (although he challenged for one), and died some years ago.

The much-derided Carnera scored 69 career knockouts, the most ever for a world heavyweight champion; Ezzard Charles, "The Cincinnati Cobra", comes in second at 58. One of Ezzards's victims was Archie Moore in eight rounds (he licked Moore three times, twice on points). He also outscored an ageing Joe Louis, of course.

Carpentier, "The Orchid Man", refereed Jack Johnson's defence of his world heavyweight title against Frank Moran in 1914 in Paris (when Johnson was forced out of the States; he won on points over 20 rounds).
Carpentier challenged Jack Dempsey in 1921 for the same title. Carpentier really hurt Dempsey before he was overwhelmed and scored knockouts at every weight from flyweight upwards.

No, it's not that. I'm like everybody else, some things you get right, some things you don't. One big hitter that really fascinates me, who didn't even fight for the title, was Elmer 'Violent' Ray, who had an unbeaten run of more than 50 fights, beat Jersey Joe Walcott and Ezzard Charles, but never got a title shot. According to the stats, which can only be approximate, he knocked out 70 of 86 people he beat (lost about 13). He's a bit mysterious, seems to have been born in Putnam County, Florida in either 1910 or 1911, and might have died in Los Angeles in the 1980s.

Foreman had 68 KOs. Charles had just 52. Carnera actually had 72 BTW
