I 2nd that!
Mayweather wouldn't have the punch to keep Pryor off of him, and would have had to be on his bike for 15 rounds...even it it were a 12 rounder, I still like Pryor in that fantasy matchup... :box:

I saw Pryor fight numerous times back in the early 80'. He was as exciting as they get. But exciting usually translates into gets hit alot and he did. His defense wasn't exactly the best. He had a great chin and very good power but not 1 punch variety. Pryor would have fits with that kind of speed. IMO, Floyd cruises to a 12 or 15 rd dec 7 days a week. Excellent matchup but my dough would be on Money May. Change the opponent to someone like Duran and I might agree that Floyd loses 1 but not to the hawk.

Good opposition... not great opposition. He wants to be remembered as an all time great, then he has to be judged by their standards, and by their standards, his opposition has been below average. He has never fought anyone close to Pryor's level.

I’ll have to go with Mayweather on this one. Too much footwork and speed for Pryor. People say that Mayweather never fought anybody like Pryor but on the other hand Pryor never fought anybody with the footwork and speed of Mayweather. With or without the black bottle Pryor loses this one.

If they fought 12, I say a draw. If 15, the hawk in a close decision.

In my opinion Arguello was a great fighter, massive puncher, great heart, and an all-time great. However, he did not have the footwork or speed of Mayweather. I rank Arguello very high, even higher than Mayweather but style makes fights and Mayweather is too slick for Pryor. Pryor did well against Arguello because Arguello was like a robot in both fights with almost non-existent footwork. I think Mayweather is smarter in the ring than Arguello. I stick with Mayweather maybe by SD or MD.

- Yeah, Mr. Money would be slick alright, a slick grease spot oozing out on the canvas after Hawk renders him splat.

Styles make fights and if Mr. Money thought Castillo was a nightmare, Hawk makes sure he don't wake up.

I'd be shocked if Pryor actually got in the ring with Mayweather. He ducked anyone with a pulse while calling out Leonard and Hearns.

Pryor would ass fornicate Mayweather. PBF doesn't punch hard enought to keep Pryor off of him.

Pryor by decision. Mayweather wouldn't be able to keep Pryor off of him. Pryor would walk thru Mayweather's best shots and land his own. It would be close but Pryor would pull it out IMO.

This post makes zero sense. Pryor was a 140lb fighter, so what does PBF at 147 have to do with it?

True that! Pryor did get hit, but could take a helluva punch...Arguello hit that dude with some shots that would have starched the average Joe...Pryor just ate'em and kept coming...Mayweather does not possess that kind of power...I believe Pryor would apply too much pressure on Mayweather...
I like what Manny Stewart says about being comfortable with the situation...I believe Pryor would be much more comfortable with the situation in the ring than Mayweather...

IMO, I just can't see Mayweather countering and pot-shotin' his way to victory against Pryor...that dude was both strong & relentless, and to be honest I believe that's what it would take to beat Mayweather...relentless pressure, force him to fight every minute of every round...Pryor could do that...
