i know there was abit of this in another thread but i thought it desereved its own thread.
which british promoters bills do you generally look forward to the most? in terms of match making and/or tv content etc. i know the tv content is not to do with the promoter but it does effect how we enjoy the show on tv at least.
fw , maloney , hayemaker , hennessey are the four big ones.
i really like the hennessey and hayemaker bills when they are on. big reason is they are given proper time on the channel. no skipping rounds between the fights that they advertise. i will be like a broken record here but it really annoyed me when sky skipped rounds during the sykes and crolla fight the other week. it was a domestic fight of the year candidate and yet we did not see the whole lot of it.
in terms of matchmaking they all put on good bouts alot of the time. other times there does be alot of filler fights. hennessey and hayemaker have smaller stables and dont put on shows as often as fw and maloney. id say they can be all much the same in this respect. the one thing that annoys me is africans and the commonwealth situation. i suppose we get annoyed when we see an experienced pro have a backwards fight. then again we dont know if there would have been anyone better available. i suppose its impossible for any promoter to get the best or most suitable opponent all of the time. in saying that do we be too hard on promoters some of the time?
