The records on my dad have been so incorrect for so many years that I have wanted to straighten them out for so long, I hope someone can help! He faught mainly under the name of Frank Lieberman then Young Westly Ketchel I think the spelling may be wrong. Ketchel was a close freind of my dads. All the records were incorrect as the Long Beach Press the Los Angales Times, and the New York Times had him as one of the greatest of his time. He had 19 straight KOs not 12 wins and 5 losses, I can prove this with many articles. Your record was correct that Lem Tomis was one of the first to ever beat him but the reff had his hand wiping them off when Lem hit him. To prove it Lem got KOed the next time he faught dad and it was the 1st or beginning of the second round. I have all the records to prove what I am saying. He was known as a KO artest and one of the hardest punchers alive. My granfather was in the Jack Demseu magazine many times. He was running a stable out of the Main St Jim down town LA Manny Lieberman. His last person he was training was a kid named Mondo Ramos. I have the picture of grandpa training him although he never mentioned grandpa in any of his past interviews but he knew he could not have went one round with dad so that is a hard act to follow. Dad, Frankie Lieberman also faught out of the Hawiian club quite a bit. Please question me and lets get this record straight as he is leaving this earth soon and I would love to see the reconition he deserved. If you have any one in their mid 80s out of Long Beach or LA they will know dad.
Thanks for you time,
Harry Lieberman
