I wanted to leave you with this. When I asked dad, would have you liked to meet with Henry Armstrong, his reply was, I would have loved to meet with Herny, shake hands and get the heck out of there! Henry and dad were close freinds. Now the Golden Boy was another situation, Art Arigon. He wanted Art and could not get that fight, when you see how dad knocked out those 19 you will know why. Most were in the belly and those fighter left the game after that fight. So thinks for letting me post. One last thing, my dads best freind, Al Smith, a ranking middle weight also faught under by grandpas boxing club, died a while back, this I will not let dad know as he turned 90 as of yesterday and in a retirment home. He would be devistated. Al was a great guy and I am sure all that knew him, will miss him!
