weight loss for boxing

Post by kidneypunch »

Now i heard that wearing sweaters and sweat pants help you drop weight

then i heard all it does is drop water weight and you gain it all back and all the sweating is lost

now for boxing, sweating and wearing sweats is good before a weigh in if you dont drink

but wearing it all week, and sweating about 6 lbs, and regaining it all back, will sweating help you lose weight in the long run? or just temporarily (when you eat/drink)

i think it does help you lose weight in the long run because your body tries to get used to the weight you lost in the sweating/dehydrating process

then your body tries to go into that weight range

and ur body uses calories to try and cool down your body by sweating?

True?

Sweating does burn calories, but if you are an elite athlete who does a strenuous workout you probably are sweating plenty without wearings sweats. If wearing sweats heats you up too much and makes it so you can't workout as hard, then it is counter-productive. If you are working out in a gym that is 85-95 degrees, you probably shouldn't need to wear any sweats. If the gym is 65 degrees, you might want to so that you will get a good sweat going.
