Who would win between the two best middleweights in britain ?

will it happen?
warren fighters often get big opportunities, sometimes are pulled out of purse bids.
just think: there are 2 massive middleweights holding titles, and one has already decided to move up.
who gets ranked quicker: warren fighters or other fighters?

I think the purse bids are some time this month. Be a real needle match as Hennessy and his team have little time for Macklin

Macklin wins this.
I feel both have been held back something stupid by negative promoters, and ought to be eyeing EBU title shots atm.

macklin by ko , too big too strong , looked devastating in his last fight and barker has been fighting bad calibre of fighters imo , hasnt proved himself at all yet

i was sold on barker but the opposition hasn't significantly improved from the bendall fight. bendall, larry sharpe, jason mckay and john mcdermott. don't mean to be rude but that's not exactly a murderer's row. barker is good but i think if he's going to get beaten, it'll be by stoppage by a pressure fighter. macklin has come on well. is macklin not fighting facey now? facey rematch would make clear how much he's improved and if he can concentrate for long periods.

Barker, possibly late KO but more likely a hard fought points win with Macklin starting the better.
Real belter this one, can't wait....

Barker will easily outbox the slugger.

Macklin is actually severely limited and got outboxed by "smiley" facey if you recall. without his power he'd be nothing.

That's a bit harsh, he's not as stylish as Barker or as technically sound, but he's no mug.

I agree with this BUT I think Maklin will lose the first 3 or 4 rounds and then come from behind to stop him!!

It's Barker's acid-test at domestic level, but I really like him (not in a gay way), so I am going with him via KO around the midway point. Too fast, too accurate and deceptively hard-hitting. Also got a good workrate. If Macklin wins then I will be surprised. I will also be made to eat humble pie.

Barker to win by late TKO after absorbing early pressure from Macklin. I just hope this fight happens, it would be a shame if it didn't come off.
