Fighter gets knocked down, then knocks opponent down.
In the Ortiz vs Maidana fight, Ortiz knocked Maidana down and then Maidana knocked Ortiz down immediately afterward. What other fights has this happened in? I can't think of any. Maybe the greater boxing minds on boxrec can come up with some examples??

On the domestic scene, does anyone remember Dave Walker against Spencer Fearon in July 2003, over at Norwich ?
Walker down end of first and second, and all over the place.
Fearon down in third, then tko'd by Walker in fourth.
Classic.

Walker v Fearon was a great fight. Walker got caught on the bell at the end of 1 and 2 and then finished Fearon off with a big right hand. There is still good banter betwen the two about the fight. A young David Haye was in Spencer's corner

Get off of your pedestal Rhino, or breathe in some of that dodgy stuff you administer
It's quiet around boxing right now, so any thread is better than no thread.
You got any better ideas ?

I do remember this fight. Most of Dave Walkers were mini classics.I remember thinking though that if he was struggling with Spencer fearon then he had found his level domestically, without wishing to be rude. Both were very brave fighters.A proper up and downer this one.twenty six wrote:On the domestic scene, does anyone remember Dave Walker against Spencer Fearon in July 2003, over at Norwich ?

Cracking fight, I think though that Saunders might have gone on holiday not long before this fight, amazingly. Really good guy is Chris and a genuine puncher. Even if he hits you on the chest or shoulder it still hurts.deadpan wrote:Saunders-Lueshing 2

Spencer would thank me for correcting that it was a controversial stoppage actually. Spencer was on the ropes protecting himself while Walker was flurring against his gloves and arms and it was stopped out of the blue.hook171 wrote:Walker v Fearon was a great fight. Not to say it couldn't have gone Walker's way though. Spencer was much more tired than Walker at that point.
