Who, or what is "Miles Platting"

The front page of boxrec keeps tell me upcoming fight dates based on their proximity to "Miles Platting." EG the nearest fight to Miles Platting will be listed, regardless of how far away in time it is, followed by other upcoming events listed by geographical proximity to Miles Platting.

Occassionally it seems to be Skipton, too.

It's a place, just north of Man City's stadium. Your proxy server is most likely there.

Its a fairly ropey spot to the north east of Manchester city centre - near where The Gomez is from I think.

Yeah, I'm from Lancs- but much closer to Cumbria than Manchester. Sometimes it changes location - Skipton, occassionally London or Dingley Dell or somewhere.

But yeah, I see what you mean- it goes off where my IP is hosted, and assumes I live there, so gives me the nearest fights coming up .

Odd that the list is by proximity, not date.

My ip thingy keeps changing area as well. Sometimes it says Manchester, sometimes Barnsley and like you sometimes Skipton.
