According to Doug Fisher he is. What does this mean for Khan then?

Is he best to stay with FW or should he try to crack America with Golden Boy or Bob Arum?

I don't think i've ever said this, but I think he might be better off staying with FW for two or three more fights to get a little bit more seasoning. Going to America now will probably mean he'll get matched quite tough and he'll be away from home, obviously. At 22 and getting ko'd in a round not to long ago, that is a lot to handle.

Khan has been eager to fight good opponants right from the start and you can't fault his courage, but he does need to be looked out for. More time with Freddie Roach and a couple of decent title defenses should set him up nicely for the trip across the pond.

The key point here is that at this stage of his career, to go to America he'll have to take big wage cuts for at least a few fights.

I actually think Warren is moving on Khan quickly now -- challenging for a title two fights and nine months after being knocked sparko is more rapid progress by a factor of five than I've seen from Warren before. They'll be cautious for a few fights, in that they'll not take on Valero, Marquez, Pacquiao, Mosley and then Paul Williams in their next five fights, but there's only so far you can take that once you've won a world title. Khan is clearly not the finished product, but I'm seeing improvement in every single fight now.

He should stick with Warren, if he knows what's good for him.

Yeah I wonder what the chances are of that fight happening if Khan resigns with FW as opposed to signing with Golden Boy?

Obviously it becomes more difficult to make the fight and Hatton may not want to work with FW.

One of the best jobs I have ever seen. He has virtually brought him back from the dead after what happened with Prescott.

Khan is an established PPV fighter with a world title. If there is a promoter/manager of the year award Warren deserves it on this alone.

My advice to Khan is stay with Warren and whatever you do dont get any ideas about being a promoter.

We'll see, but I suspect things are going on behind the scenes that will surprise us all.

I don't fancy more pvp rubbish against mediocre opponents, and for that alone, I hope he chases the glory rather than an easy ride.

One thing I do believe in Khan, is that he truly wants to fight the best, that won't happen with the pied piper of cash cows at the helm.

Why do you say that though?

Ortiz could and probably should have won that fight, he just fought like an idiot and then gave up. It wasn't an easy fight, but he wasn't gonna learn anything if he kept being fed knockover jobs.

Did anyone else notice, in Amir's post-fight interview at ringside, with Frank just 2-3 yards away and looking on, Amir thanked everybody EXCEPT Frank ! His trainers, the Wild Card gym, his parents, everybody EXCEPT Frank, who was literally stood in front (and to the side) of him. Maybe it was just an oversight in the heat of the moment, which would be understandable, or maybe it belies behind the scenes issues ?
