is it just me or is sutherlands power overestimated....he has yet to floor an opponent with a shot.all the commentators think he can punch real hard but i have yet to see it..thoughts?

He looks physically strong but not a big puncher.

Agree Jeffrieys for me,then Sutherland ,jeffrieys is massive for weight.watched him at his 2nd fight he is very strong, and and can hit, Think sutherland and jeffrieys much stronger then Degale, D

very over estimated,guys like nigel benn,henry wharton and even joe calzaghe(before the hand trouble) were finishing this level of opponent in less than a round

I saw some cracks in Sutherland in his last fight.

His power was not troubling the guy and he was taking far too many clean shots himself. He is still early in his pro career, but he is not a young kid anymore. He marked up pretty badly.

No doubt he is a quality boxer with a great jab, but his power has not overly impressed me. I hope he does well though as he seems like a very decent guy. He will learn from that last fight though. I would rather he has some tough fights early on rather than just blasting out guys in a round or two.

this is a tough one but i think tony jeffries hes looking aswome but they all are capable of wining a world tittle. cant belive billy jo saunders is super middle he dont look that big !

Billy Jo looks a little fleshy (in comparison to other boxers) to me. I think he's not draining much at the moment, probably because he's only 19 and is still growing, which is a very good idea. I'm sure he could easily make 160 lbs, but he doesn't need to right now.

Good question. I did think about that while I was typing my previous reply. I think he'll end up as a light middleweight or middleweight, for his first title shot (English, British or Commonwealth).

I have said that exact same thing from when he was an amateur, way over-rated both in term of potential, power and skill.

frankie gavin is by far the best boxer of the lot ,i think you will see more of sutherlands power when he fights lads who actually come to fight although i didnt see his last fight , there all quality boxers so it should be exciting times ahead

I think when judging at this stage you have to think about how what they've shown to date will translate as they move up through the ranks.
So, for example, Jeffries has looked like a destroyer at this level, but I think that those advantages (strength and power) are the least likely to be carried through all the way to the highest level.
By contrast, Gavin won't necessarily look breath-taking at this juncture, but it's easy to envisage that his core talents (timing, footwork etc) will become more apparent as he moves up in class.
I can easily see Jeffries as reaching Euro-level while falling short in world-class company. By contrast I can envisage Gavin becoming one of our best ever at world level. I know that's a big call, but I just think I've rarely seen a British fighter with his sense of movement and timing.

Spot on Deserter - a very astute observation. it isnt all about blowing away journeymen with ease at this stage for me either. I have never seen a boxer with Frankie's timing and judgement of distance and shot selection. The kid has all the skill in the world. A real natural talent. I just hope he stays dedicated and away from the his mates and the pubs.

I also think Frankie will be the most successful out of the Olympians. He looked very sharp at the M.E.N and is adapting to the pro game rather well.

I was impressed with all of them on the Khan bill.... I've been dissapointed with Gavin so far, but was really impressed with him last time. I still have concerns about his power and he cuts, but looked far quicker and more relaxed this time.

I do think Billy Joe is most suited to the pro's. Sutherland is the one I am least impressed with.
