Thought the purse bids were for Mitchell/Burns? I dont see the real interest in this fight even IF it does happen - Burns is overated and cook has gone as far as he can go.

A waste of time fight with no real interest for me.

Whoever wins faces Mitchell? Even more of a waste of time. Both wouldnt last beyond 5 rounds imo. :box:

This would be a good fight. Would it be a Friday Fight Night? If so, then GREAT! That series needs to see a rise in quality.

Just dont really think burns has enough power to trouble cook and should be a clear win for cook.
Competitive fight and should go the distance but i dont see Cook losing too many rounds but not dominating enough for others to take note

If these two fight then it really should be for the British title as well as the Commonwealth.

Mitchell has not defended his British title once and he has held it for over 16 months, he should be stripped of his title.

Who should Burns fight next instead? What about Cook?

I think this is a good match up. Similar to Brrok/Jennings. An up and coming fighter against someone who has maybe already reached his peak.

Good fight this is but I think Burns might be the fresher of the 2 and I see him out working Cookie, Good fight though and the winner fighting Mitchel would be great viewing too.. :TU:

If Nicky Cook has anything left which I am sure he does - he beats Ricky Burns comfortably!!

I've always believed Nicky Cook, as opposed to the many who believe Burns has been, was over-rated.

Burns could beat him over the distance.

Coincidence that Mitchell v Martinez is on at the O2 in October, Brook v Jennings is in October and now this.

Could be a decent card that.
