I was at his pro debut at Kensington Hall a few weeks ago and he looked very good. The confidence is hanging out of him and I think he will be one to watch. I am looking forward to his next fight.

thanks i guess that's his debut on the youtube clip as that was from the Choi fight bill. He certainly doesnt lack confidence and seems to have a very aggressive, crowd pleasing style and impressed me enough to watch out for him.[/quoteyes he was at times wild but did look impressive..reminds me a bit of applelby the scottish lad the way he wings in them punches..good luck to the kid..good to see him training with the ingles in sheffield..if he has the skills he WILL go along way with that height!

yeah, his appearance on the Choi bill was his pro debut. According to the programme notes, he trained at Ingles gym in Sheffield for a while, as an amateur he reached the national finals and won London ABAs. Apparently his low hands style drew a few critics in his amateur days......

Nah, at that height and the way he hangs his chin out he will be KO'd the min he steps out of boxing journeymen etc. It's alright having height but you have to use it right, not like Saeed did in his debut and am career, cant believe people are banging on about a guy beause he has height and hasn't done anything in the am's. The chin and that body needs to be tested first.

BIGMARK wrote:This guys name keeps coming up on various sites and maybe he has slipped under my radar but who is he? I know he is promoted by Spencer feron, his a big 6 ftsuper bantam and he seems quite confident. ·I have posted a clip at the bottom of the page which Madmick posted on another thread today and just wanted to know if this guy is one to watch or not?

He is a dis-respectful boy who talks about people's families on other boxing forums then gets caught out. Likes to run his mouth off about how great he is. IMO - He is a 6ft boxer that cant take a body shot from what people say from his gym. He needs to keep that chin in also! Dont personally think he'll do anything as a pro. like he didnt AM...not like he thinks he will anyway!

Looks like D-Glass Jaw has moved over to here from ESB!

I remember him calling out Stephen Smith a while back in the ABA's and generally being a bit cocky.
Unfortuanetly he didn't even get out of his region let alone get the opportunity to face Smith in the later stages.

Confidence is a good trait to have, although writing cheques your talent can't cash always comes back to bite you on the arse!

Just read another thing, he's from the Ingle gym, oh dear, so we have a 6 foot super-bantam from the Ingle gym who's hero is Naz. I don't like him already!

That ring entrance made me cringe. Why do so many fighters think they look cool bobbing around like a chicken?

If its the same guy I'm thinking of he used to have his own forum and spam others with links to it. I think BoxingBanter banned him.

Yes that would be him, bigs himself up but hasn't got anything to back it up other than cockyness and running people down before he's even proved himself. You can be sure that you wont be hearing about this guy in a year or two as Im sure he still cant take a decent shot and with his chin in the air and aggressive style for a tall guy thats an accident waiting to happen. You'd be better of following the guy who well beat Saeed in the AM's Bradley Evans who has more controlled agression, keeps tucked up and goes about his buisness in a professional manner for a novice pro.

Is that the Evans who drew on a televised bout fairly recently on ITV4? If so he looked like he had a lot to learn still, but did have some ability.

IF ITS the fight i'm thinking of it was a very poor decision and everyone thought he won apart from the ref
If it's the fight I'm thinking of then most the commentaters agreed that he might have shaded it but also could totally see reason behind giving a draw. It was very close and very messy, he does have a lot to learn, he seemed nervous and too keen to impress and score the big punches.

I don't think he will be so good looking after he takes on a decent opponent. Been watching some of his amateur fights and his pro highlights and I don't think he will get to far, just like his amateur days.
