I saw Bellew at the Odyssey on the undercard of the Rogie fight and he dismantled his man in no time. Hoping he is on the Rogie-Sexton II undercard.....

top read, expecting big tings from bomber, seen him fight quite a bit in the ams and was always impressed, thnk he can go all the way if he stays injury free and a top lad from what ive heard but havent had the chance to meet him yet!!!

I only saw him fight twice. Seems to be a well balanced, accurate puncher. Kind of fighter who looks like he's had more fights than he has. Then the next time there seemed to have been something missing, and I think he had something wrong with his hand.

I wonder where Bellew fits into the light heavyweight picture. Cleverly has the domestic belts, Cleverly was the one being mooted for WBO eliminators (FW mentioned Montell Griffin, didn't seem to go anywhere for now), and he has the same promoter as Cleverly. A promoter usually won't put his 2 top fighters at the same weight together. Usually, you wait for one to move up in class. Will Bomber have a frustrating wait? Will Clev drop one of his titles, allowing Bomber to step up?

It could come down to who the draw is. Cleverly hasn't had any big crowds, has he? Smashing up Africans in sports halls, wasn't it? (Correct me if I'm wrong.) And boxing in Wales isn't big anymore, without "You'll Miss Him Now He's Gone" Joe. Is Bellew popular in Liverpool, and will FW be staging fights up there?

I got the impression that somthing could be done in Liverpool. That the Quigley-Dodson fight may have ignited something. If Bellew had a domestic title, him vs Dodson I'll bet could be interesting. Dodson has poo-pooed light heavyweight on here, but I wonder if he'd move up for another exciting all Scous fight (and a nice payday).

Light heavy looks promising. Beibut Shumenov has already beaten Epifanio Mendoza, Byron Mitchell, Montell Griffin, and has a WBA title fight coming up v Campillo...We've obviously got 2 promising light heavies over here.

Definitely one of my favourite fighters and someone who all of BoxRec (i'm sure) will want to go far.

For me, Bomber smashes Mcintosh, and if the fight does happen, it'll make a statement to the boxing world who have Clev tipped for stardom.

Apart from being a Blue, there's nothing bad we can say about the lad.

All your posts make sense guys and thanks for the concern I don't half appreciate it.

At the min Cleverly is getting all the headlines and deservedly so, He's producing the goods, I rate him to be fair, Fast hands,Good variety of shots and very fit!! However I ain't Dany McIntosh and feel I have all the tools to do a job on him, I wanna test in my next fight, It's an 8 rounder and I can't wait, Maybe a title of some kind before the end of the year!! I don't know who you guys ould like me to fight but I'll fight any lightheavyweight in this country!! I mean ANYONE!! I believe I shine in this division and will guarentee excitment everytime!!

I'll not call certain names out as it ain't my style BUT like I said I will fight ANYONE..

re clebedev: he clearly has come on, but i think it has more to do with snappy technique, speed, and improved accuracy. clev seems to hit the body hard. i just wonder what happens to clev when he fights someone whom his shots have no effect on. when his shots just bounce off someone good. can he change tactics, fight on the outside? i'm not sure. i see him coming forward, getting tangled up in clinches, getting smothered. i loved clev's performance v mcintosh - very mature, very exciting, very enthusiastic. a promising fighter.

let's not forget, clev used to have a bit of snap, but no power. he fought some weak africans and got stoppages, and this obviously gave him confidence and belief in his power. but his "power" that has been developed will hit a wall, eventually.

bellew seems to hit very hard, for instance. more of a natural puncher.

How about fighting someone like Joey Vegas? He's still rated quite highly on Boxrec and would be a good opponent to use to gauge your current standing.

Reason i picked McIntosh , is that he still holds the English title, in 6 months time i would expect McIntosh to of had a comeback fight , and Bellow to of had a couple more bouts as well.
It would be a good match-up then, i know Cleverly did a job on McIntosh but he is still a top 5 light heavy in the UK.
We've still got to see what happens when Tony steps up a mark , and i think McIntosh would answer some of those questions.

Meat Mick matches his fighters tough, but surely he could ruin McIntosh by putting him in with Bellew. That would be a true "make or break" fight, and he's not even won a British title yet, the herky jerky lad from Norwich. If you're giving that chin away, not wise to stick him in with a natural puncher like Bellew.

Would Bomber want Cleverly's chewed up leftovers?

I could see the appeal in Oakey - i.e. perhaps become one of the few men to crack that hard chin - if there was some title on the line. I could see the appeal in Quigley and Dodson, for the local derby angle, if/when Bellew wins a title.

I agree, Ian, although I haven't seen Bomber fight. I'm just going by his record. Oakey would be a massive step up.

Bomber is working his way up the rankings. Give him time.

He comes on the forum and is as honest as muck. He doesn't just come on to talk about himself, he posts in other thread and talks boxing like anyone else. What a great great person to have on the board and I really would LOVE to see him go all the way. Bomber, you can be sure I will make sure your name is known among my friends when you are fighting.

As for his career, well he will need to build himself up and work hard. I can see him competing at the top level. He certainly has the power.

tony will go all the way and i don't just say that because i am a friend of his. He is a very talented boxer and i hear he works hard and when I speak to him on the fone, he sounds like he really wants it and so i Really think he can go all the way. Tony how about some sparring when I next come round ur sides?
