Hi Neil
You need to get in touch with your Area Council Secretary which you will be able to find details of on the BBBofC website.
They will advise you when the next area meeting is (usually every 6/8 weeks) and you will need to attend for an interview.
If accepted you will then have to go on the BBBofC's second/trainers course. This will learn you all the rules and regulations, first aid specific to boxing, basic training methods, general hydration and nutrition, treating cuts and bandaging. I think they hold about maybe 4 or so a year and it costs about £500/600 in total which includes your 1st year license fee.

This is new this year, previously you only had to go for an interview and were granted a licence, think they are doing this to make sure only suitable people are selected into the indusrty.
I have been on the course and learnt a lot from it.
