PLEASE UPDATE

Post by claudevsq »

Your schedule reflects for September 5 in Panama that Ana Fernandez and Ibeth Zamora Silva will fight for the interim WBA Female light flyweight title. They are both ranked at minimumweight, Ria Ramnarine has been put into recess, Notifight wrote about it, but most important, the WBA rankings chairman confirmed to me in an e-mail that it is for the interim STRAWWEIGHT title, not light flyweight. Please change, thanks!

This were my questions to Mr. George Martínez from the WBA:

Hello! My name is Claude Vesque, I'm a member of the Ring Magazine Ratings
Advisory Panel, and I'm from Luxembourg.

I have a few questions about your newest female rankings from June, and
would be pleased if you could answer my request.

1. Why is Laura Tavecchio not your lightweight interim champion anymore? Has
she been stripped?
2. Will Ana Fernandez fight Ibeth Zamora Silva on September 5th for the
interim minimumweight title?
3. The match set for December 6th, according to Boxrec, between Etsuko Tada
and Naomi Togashi, for which title will it be? For Tada's minimumweight
title or for Togashi's light flyweight title?

Thankk you,

Claude.

These were the answers:

Answers:
1) On June 16 we were informed that Laura Tavecchio was pregnant and she was suspending all boxing activities, therefore we have proced to strip her of the Interim Title.
2) Ana Fernandez will fight Ibeth Zamora for the Interim minimumweight title on September 5th in Panama.
3) as of now we have not received any Information about Etsuko Tada fighting December 6th.
thank you very much.

Thanks for updating, but to the left of Ana Fernández' name, you still have "10x2 light flyweight". Please change to "10x2 strawweight", thanks!
