Winky Wright against Tito Trinidad is the one that stands out for me.

An absolute textbook performance in defence and jabbing.

Hopkins versus Pavlik was another one. I fancied Hopkins and even backed him with cash but it was mainly the value of the odds that lured me in. Hopkins took Pavlik to school in that fight. Awesome display.

Haye vs Enzo was for WBA Super World cruiserweight title ~ WBC cruiserweight title ~ WBO cruiserweight title, and Lacy was ment to be the Man, who was IBF super middleweight champion at the time..

Decisive KO but was it a one sided beatdown? I think some had the scores about level at that point although I felt Hopkins was winning at the time.

Hopkins V Trinidad springs to mind and I don't think many foresaw Calzaghe dishing out such a comprehensive pounding on Lacy.

Calzaghe v Lacy was a huge unification fight that Lacy was supposed to win. It WAS a superfight at the time. A lot of people got excited about it. How often do we have to go over this? Why do people hate Calzaghe so much? Anyway, it is the DEFINITION of a superfight that ended as a one sided beat down. I get tired by all the Calzaghe hate on these boards. Jeez... Accept the guy was talented and got out before he eventually got beat. End of argument no more on this please!

Haye-Maccarinelli was also a huge British unification fight. I was there- the place was packed to the rafters. It was also considered a pick 'em fight. Haye annihilated him and we all had to go home. One sided beat down.

Of course you've got to include Hatton-Pacquiaou. We knew Hatton was gonna lose, but not get absolutley destroyed.

Hopkins-Pavlik. I just loved watching that fight! I kind of hate and respect Hopkins at the same time. I hate him cos he's a racist, no matter what anybody says, and he enjoyed beating Pavlik's face in, in part, cos he's white I think. But he was so good that night. It turned me into a fan when that was the last thing I was before. Plus, the fact that Pavlik's corner all wear police department badges, (and yes I am a Calzaghe fan and was p****d off at Pavlik and Leow for slagging Joe so I hated them anyway) made me want to see him get his ass kicked even more.

Tyson-Spinks. Spinks was the only guy they thought could beat Tyson at the time. Can you believe that? Such a joke in retrospect. How long did he last? 70 seconds or something? Just annihilated him.

How about De la Hoya-Paquiaou? Manny beat the c**t out of him.

Haye v Enzo was just Haye picking up a belt in a division he already was dominant in.
I agree in the sense it was onesided. But Enzo is quite some distance away from being the calibre of opposition of a Super-Bout.

Ignoring your poor English, alot of boxers are "Meant" to be the man, but evidently end up being nothing of the sort.

If that was the case, nearly every bout out there would be a super fight, because Such-and-Such boxer was "Meant to be the man".

Haye V Enzo deffo qualifiys for that - there was a big build up for that - there were posters all over my hometown up on billboards of Enzo V Haye - rarely do you see that for a boxing match on Swansea streets

Many people were tipping Enzo

One guy from Swansea stuck £4000 on Enzo to win

Enzo Calzaghe said Enzo Macc would end Hayes career

allegedly was confident of his fighter doing the business

Even vetran Colin Hart went for Enzo Maccarenelli

But it was easy win for Haye
