Promoter's summary of OZ boxing spectators

There are 4 -5 different boxing spectators.

1. Die Hard - gonna go if its in a tin shed with candles for lights regardless of price or ability of fighters.

2. Expert - loves the close fights - loves the actual fight - couldn't care less about who wins or loses just loves to see the sport at its finest.

3. Casual Spectator - wouldn't mind if it was the footy or the boxing - they had a night free and heard this would be a good way to spend it. (Hard to attract when competing with three football codes)

4. Winning Feeling Spectator - Loves to support the winning guy or team - goes because its popular and people are talking about it. 70% of sports fans.

5. Close Association - Friends or Family - only ever go when Fighter they know is on the card. ( 50% minimum of boxing fans)

I guess it depends on the city.
Years ago I conducted a survey @ ABCOS Stadium in Adelaide. 60% were in the #3 bracket.
