Does anyone know these fighters' reaches?

Post by The Keed »

Does anyone know the reach each of these fighters had?

Kid Gavilan
Billy Graham
Gil Turner
Carmen Basilio

And does anyone know where I might find out the reach of other fighters?

Thanks in advance.

No Cuban. And no one cares.

Being such a fan of The Cuban Hawk... you should know his reach by heart, shouldn't you?

roid....i answered this one as best I could but entered it on the wrong thread...check out teraps top 20 for my post and thank tantum for finding it there.

addenda...Ring record Book gives gavilan's height as 5'10 1/2" and basilio as 5' 6/2".

while I'm here...the arm spread method isn't really the best as a fighter with a big wide chest will add to the arm measurement this way..plus when you see a 3" advantage with this method it's really one 1 and 1/2.

I think hbo has changed to the better one..measuring from the armpit to the end of the fingers. probably no tdone before because thy couldn't find anyone willing to get close enough to an armput to hold a tape measure there....well...it's a dirty job..etc.

I heard that HBO borrows that punk Jim Gray from Showtime to do the dirt deed and that he willingly does it for free.

Re: the old ring record books give the stats for theheavyweight champions. i am too lazy to look them up and post them here. perhaps in another kind gesture tomato can will come forth and do this most helpful chore.

I am too lazy as well. Besides most statistics for the heavyweight champions are in the database and can be looked up.
