Olusugun world title shot?

Post by stujones »

Seems like if Olusegun gets past Lenny Daws later this month - he will fight undefeated Romainian Ionut Dan Ion in a final eliminator for the WBC title.

Never seen this Romainian in action, record is pretty decent - one or two names... so it might be tough.

How do people think Olusegun will do against Alexander?

I read that Daws is facing Morrison for the vacant British title, as Olusegan is concentrating on the eliminator.

Good on Olusegun. The domestic light-welterweight scene is stale at the moment with the usual suspects trudging along - Daws, Morrison, Wright, Haywood, Lynes etc. I thought we might have a breath of fresh air when McCloskey came along but then he vacated after one defence to focus on the Euro! Can hardly blame him of course.

Ah now, to be fair he was genuinely sick(as far as I'm aware) the last time against McCloskey.
I don't think he's the type to duck out of fights, anyway considering he already has a very good win over Daws he'll be well up for this fight.
As will Daws wanting revenge, should be a cracker.
