Ringside National Championships

The Ringside National Labour Day Championships in KANSAS CITY are about to start on AUGUST 26-31.
I canot make this trip this year but i am sparring and helping getting two fighters ready for it from my club.
Is any body here goin to fight at ringside tourny, or goin to watch.
THIS IS THE LARGEST AMUATER BOXING TOURNAMENT IN THE WORLD!
Any thoughts on ringside just post em!!

I all actuallity the Ringside national tournament is an awesome tourny. I won it last year but will not compete in it this year because it's not an Olympic Trial Qualifier.. I really don't think that any of the top guys are going to risk getting hurt this close to Olympic year.. This year I'm sure the only athletes thats going to compete in it will only be the boxers who don't lagetimately have a realistic chance of making the Olympic team..

I am not at olympic level yet, same with my buddies goin down.
Were all to young anyway.
But do u think u will make the olympic team?

I went in 2001, I didn't like the tournament. To many age variety, by the time the open senior fought in the evening sessions it was nearing 12 or later, it's tough to fight under those conditions.

i WENT TO THE TOURNY AND IT WAS A GREAT TURN OUT WITH A NEW WORLD RECORD OF OVER 1200 FIGHTERS FROM 6 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES.
UNFORTUNATLEY I HYPER EXTENDED MY WRIST 2 HOURS BEFORE MY FIGHT AND THERE WAS NO WAY I WOULD RISK A BROKEN WRIST FOR A NOVICE TITLE. IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST FEELINGS IN THE WORLD CONSIDERING I TOOK A WEEK VACATION FROM WORK, $800, AND A LONG ASS DRIVE FROM DFW TEXAS. :x
