Carl Webb makes his debut on Fox Oct 9

Post by Hounddawg »

Carl Webb the wrecking ball from the NTH QLD Cowboys will make his pro debut on Fox card featuring Davey Browne.

For years athletes from different codes have been talking about making there pro debut with names like Willie Mason,Brett White and Barry hall....

well this man has been calling them out to be in the opposite corner.

Webb is a former amateur champion and is built like a brick, compact and small and has sleeping pills in both hands.......very excited to see if he has any ability.

Webb is IMO the most feared man in League and it will be interesting to see if that carries over into boxing.

Webb only had about 6 amateur fights but he will come to fight. Watched him fight as a junior heavyweight many years ago. Should clean up Gary Gurr pretty easy but dont expect too much from him.

There were approximately 8000 spectators at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre for the Geale V Mundine fight.
Along with Sonny Bill 7000 of them would have beaten Garry Gurr.
" half a game " Carl will give him a serious touch up.

He's a rugby player and amature boxer who obviously wants to look good beating up a guy who probably shouldn't be in the ring fighting pro, garry is one of the worse fighters i have ever seen, he fights like them celebs in celeb boxing, some of them are better actually
Be good if since his fight with sonny bill he has got himself a good trainer and has developed some skills and power and knocks webb on his ass

Yeah I love to see Webb fight and I hope he goes good, which I reckon he will.

Gary Gurr's a joke he stands pretty square, no real head movement, when hes punching and going forward he looks like hes freestyle swimming and thats asking for an uppercut (ala Sonny-Bill). Hes not even powerful or accurate in his punching. Geez he shouldnt even fight. I hope Webb does a Roy Sio on him when he knocks him out or at least fart in his nose.

Looks like Webby is fighting someone else now after looking after looking at boxrec schedule. His win over Leapia in the amateurs had to be in 93 i think. Long time between drinks.
