Tua looked good but I still don't think he could compete with Wlad or Witali. He'd destroy Arreola though.

Remember what he was up against though brother. Cameron had already lost to Friday Ahunanya and had been matched against no-marks throughout.

Why was it marketed as 'The Fight of the Century'? Especially as it's only nine years old.

It took place in New Zealand. Pretty much anything happening there is the event of the century.

High def upload. God knows how long it'll last before they take it down. I agree that Cameron hadn't beaten much but the level of opposition he'd faced matched up to the majority of top 30/40 level heavyweights. Considering the length of time he'd been out I thought it was a pretty ambitious comeback by Tua and he looked impressive though Cameron was like a deer in the headlights once caught and stunned in the 1st. He sort of reminded me of Frank Bruno in that when hurt he just completely froze and didn't throw a punch back and to all intents and purposes became a human pinata. Though that's where the similarities end with big Frank. On reflection you wonder why Cameron ever thought he had a chance against Tua. He'd been calling him out for years and I can only presume he got a handsome payday. I sure hope he did because that was a good old fashioned arse kicking. The type of thing Tua used to do regularly around 13 years ago.
Tua was the lightest and looked the fittest he had in years. I guess the pressure of not embarrassing himself on home turf helped motivate that. I mean let's facer it. On the evidence of that video losing to Cameron would possibly qualify for losing his citizenship. Again he's completely over reliant on the left hook but his head movement, work rate and combos were good. Though after he put him down the first time with his first serious assault he could have lit a cigar, chatted to Charlie Sheen at ringside and still walked back over when he felt like it and finished Shane off. I watched some of the build up and Tua seemed to be constantly taking the piss while Cameron looked gormless and completely out of his element. Kind of like 'Big' John McDermott a few years back but with tattoos and a physique.
Tua vs Arreola or Sam Peter would still be great tear ups though he wouldn't get near the Klitschko's.
By the way try not to fall off your chair at the laughable co-commentator's nonsense. He switches from shouting that Tua should have been dq'd in the first to announcing "This is the David Tua we all thought would come to fight Lennox Lewis. Where was he?" :o Thankfully the American commentator quickly dismisses that bullshit. Comparing Shane Cameron in anyway to Lennox Lewis is like comparing a domestic $hit storm to a tornado. I mean seriously where do they find these people?!!! :witzend:
Probably the same place where they found Hamish McTavish or whatever that ref's name was. What the hell he was playing at, at the end of the 1st only the good Lord himself knows. Total amateur night.

I've not seen Tua throw punches that fast in years, just hope he doesn't have another 6 months out of the ring , before getting a fight

Didn't really prove anything. The guy was basically a punch bag there to be hit. So Tua hit him.

you can see it here now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc_si9B059s

the ref should have stopped it in the 1st, he did everything he could to help Cameron last the round (no comment on that by the co-commentator) then in the 2nd the co-commentator is blaming the ref for letting Cameron take too much punishment! Tua looked good, but Cameron looked awful so I don't know how much can be read into this performance.

Didn't see too many people predict a 2 round blowout by Tua before the fight.

I wouldn't pick Tua over either Klit, but he would certainly bring a better fight than Arreola and Sam Peter managed. And if he catches either (Vital included) it could finnish it. Always been a big Tua fan
