In fact, it was an interim title fight, as is demonstrated by the October rankings of the NABO (http://www.wbo-int.com/) that feature Juan Diaz as the Light Welterweight champion and Kenny Galarza as the interim champion.

Please correct the database accordingly.

I hear you Blue. Now that the NABA and the NABO have decided to organize interim title fights systematically (and not just when the champion is unavailable), things are worse than ever.

I now sort of regret starting the encyclopedia project for North American titles because of it, but I figure I owe it to the users to finish it.
