The Jason Booth Myth

Post by endgame »

Matthew Edmonds: Six fight novice
Lante Addy: Five fight novice
Dai Davies: Trialhorse
Sean Hughes: Other than Pickering upset, he's lost to every decent opponent he's fought
Mark Moran: Area title level at best
Rocky Dean: Trialhorse, what's he ever done to warrant any title fight?
Michael Hunter: Dead at the weight

Weak opposition is making him Booth look better than he is, last time he fought anyone decent (ie: Napa) he was beaten!

Looks a very classy boxer to me
you dont win a couple of British titles by not being a very good boxer
hes always been a classy boxer.

Who should have been fighting?????

i dont know much about his weight division other than Rendall munroe who is his good mate

Lay off the crack and be proud that a Brit champ has shagged your missus

Coco, pmsl. Endgame, its not just who hes beating but how hes beating them. eg ouclassing Hughes who gave Pickering 2 tough fights and had his moments v Monshipour. also dominated Dean who pushed Marsh close 3 times. Hunter had an EBU shot at feather and took this instead so felt it was his best weight. he was maybe wrong but dnt take away from Booths display.

slightly favour Froch due to strength, power and big fight experience. plus dirrell maybe has weight issues. but him winning would not b a shocker. btw, it was a bottle of sherry a day. cheaper. seriously.

That may well be the case. However, Booth's repertoire of punches and the way he is dealing with bigger men at super-bantanweight is nothing short of class. Its the manner and style with which Booth is currently dispatching of his opponents that is the impressive thing, and not the name of the person who he has just beaten.

Sean Hughes... Beat the former Europeon Champion and current british champion nearly stopping him.also five inches taller then Booth
Mark Moran..... Current undefeated English champion.Commonwealth Games medal winner. Booth was fighting for the superfly title til about a week before the fight.
Rocky Dean..... Fought British Champion marsh 3 times unlucky to get the nod in atleast one of the fights. Stopped the current British champion Gary davies. fought anyone all the way up to Superfeather.
Micheal Hunter.....Former Europeon commonwealth and British Champion. Only lost to Class act Steve Molitor.

Mate you can look at it what ever way you like but like the Meerkat says SIMPLYS!! Jason Booth is a real class act.

 I sense a bitter, envious person here. Also, Hunter said himself that he is more than comfortable at the weight, made better than anytime before. He did not look dead at the weight. The fighters you mention are/was in the top list domestically......No matter what you claim your opinion is of them. Booth has beat who was in the way to the British title, who else was there? He cant help the level of the fighters he boxed on the way to it. You are looking for an excuse for his success? The opinions and excuses can go either way if you look for it, Im sure there would have been opinions if Hunter had won that Booth was fighting above his weight, past his best and a reformed alcoholic so Your comment and what your trying to get at is pointless. On another note,Booth has shown great character coming back from the dark days of alcoholism and is a fine example to take encouagement from.
