Dirrell wins a UD or get KO'd just like tonight (well if the judges play fair by him - maybe Germany will be fairer than Nottingham ;;-) )

He'll need to knock Abraham out if he wants a draw in Germany.

No because AA cuts the ring off well and will take Dirrell's punches and come back with his own I see a late stoppage for big Arthur

AA will chop him down methodically. Just because he goes through quiet patches & just because Dirrell runs, doesn't mean he will lose. It will be tricky, it will be atest of AA's boxing brain. I like AA's ring generalship. His 12 rds vs Taylor - a mobile & fast Yank - will have been good experience. Dirrell will set a number of problems, but AA is a thinking fighter who can hit effing hard.

What is the location for this fight?

If Dirrell doesn't win this tournament, he won't have much of a career. You just don't know how he will respond to "getting jobbed" vs Froch, as some would put it.

Dirrelll will complain even more when he starts getting tagged and roughed up a bit by the much stronger harder hiting AA.

Run, Hold, COMPLAIN... I don't see Dirrell being any different and I think his career will be short, the truth is I don't think he likes it, being hit that is and now thats he in with bigger fish he'll either get eaten up or retire (Fade away), to a new pool.

AA, Kessler and maybe a substitute as this progresses, the rest are done, Taylor should retire, a fine boxer, but just not tough enough!

People are underestimating Andre Ward here.. I think the kid is class and is definitly in with a shout of winning the whole thing!! Im also led to believe he doesn't have to leave the states once to fight..Gold Medal treatment

It's going to be very, very interesting, and probably horribly frustrating for the fans. I hate Dirrell now; he was creating the most awful fight last night.

I'm going to have to check out Abraham's previous fights and see how well he cuts off the ring. Abraham can cover quite a distance when he explodes, and it's with combinations, unlike what Froch was doing. Surely he'll reach Dirrell at some point?

Dirrell gets paid for the amount of canvas he runs.

You're the first person to mention Ward in this topic. It's about Dirrell vs Abraham.

I agree with your point, though. Ward is a very, very tricky boxer. Kessler is likely to find it very frustrating. He'll have to feint well and set up shots; which Kessler can do!

Abraham is much better than Dirrell and he'll beat him, whether by KO or over the full 12 rds. It seems the fight will be in America. It should be a good experience for AA and a winnable fight.

While many pick up on AA flaws, this guy really knows what he is doing, knows his strengths and limitations and how to apply himself over the championship distance - which he has navigated many times.

That said, it will be tricky, it will be tough, as he's never fought anyone like Dirrell before. I can see AA solving the puzzle and ending brutally and suddenly. It will be interesting, especially with Dirrell being the biggest opponent AA ever will have faced.

I felt AA looked great physically last night. Te move up to 168 has done him wonders. I felt he looked a little too chunky when he was 166 for miranda (rematch). but here, he looked strong without an ounce of fat on him.

Honestly, out of the bunch, if AA wins the whole tournament, I think he could be a massive superstar and worthy pound for pounder.

some ppl seem bothered by AA, in that he could be doing more. but i like his calm and composure. that was a good brisk boxing match. the type of technical match the germans seem to like. good skills from both sides, the home fighter being in a fairly comofrtable lead - plus, on top of that the emphatic ending.

he is frustrating though. just imagine what he could have done with a few more of those brutal body shots. on the other hand, you don't want to rush in vs someone with taylor's expereince. i'm glad these 2 have fought - unfinished business from middleweight. nobody has won rds comfortably vs taylor - not pavlik, not froch. AA did get taylor at the right time, but he showed much more boxing ability than anyone else who has beaten taylor. AA will get better and better.

i think i want AA to win super 6 - overall i like his style best. the precision, the power and the sense that he is in control in there, or soon will be.

Dirrel v Abraham will be an absolute stinker of a fight, the stench will be so bad the people sitting ringside will need gas masks or face choking to death :DDD

from a technical standpoint, it will be interesting to see AA adjust to his opponent. he is a very good thinking fighter, has been through a number of awkward nights himself and is all the better for it. honestly, i never could have imagined he'd get this good, not back in 2005 before the ikeke fight. he takes his time, he analyzes, he measures - the he does whatever is appropriate, usually to spark out the other guy in emphatic fashion.

from a concussive standpoint, it will be good to see AA send dirrell sprawling with a massive right hand or left hook!

interesting that AA won't even face a world champion, won't get to fight for a title belt, during his first 2 bouts.

if he gets another KO win - over either dirrell or froch - then he'll no doubt be going through to the next stage.

Got to feel sorry for both here, it should be for the wbc title. Dirrell could be out of the tourny unjustly

i wonder if AA will get anxious not holding a world title. there was talk - foolish talk, IMO - of fighting bute, while the super 6 tourney is happening. i doubt it happens.

if froch loses to kessler, then AA won't have a title at all in the super 6's first 3 fights. however, he is getting showtime money, and with him being the big puncher of the series, he can possibly stand to earn the most points (i.e. 3 pts per stoppage). and obviously, winning the super 6 prize is as good as having a world title. it makes him The Man, it probably sets up a big fight with pavlik or something, afterward.
