To those who are interested..... I have a large collection of old scrapbooks
consisting of thousands of articles on Boxing's Golden Era of fighters.
From champions to novice golden glovers.....
Over the years I have posted several bulletins requesting memorabilia on the boxing careers of brother's, Joe Phil & Sam Muscato. And to be
honest.....I've had little success, but, perhaps I might be able to start
something new here!
I know alot of family members of boxing's legends sometimes come to
boxrec.com or refer to the newsgroup; rec.sport.boxing seeking info & memorabilia on their beloved family members.
I would like to begin an archive swap with anyone who is in search for
newsarticles, or memorabilia of other sorts, on boxers.
In otherwords, WE can provide someone photo copy articles on, lets say, Bivins fight with Joey Maxim, Oma's fight with Ezzard Charles, Peps fight with Bartolo, or Billy Fox's fight with Artie Levine, etc..etc.. PLUS, I have lots of newspaper photo's/articles also on golden glove fighters who may not have ever turned pro...that family members are in search of.
Example: Jerrold Locke of Dayton, OH. knocking out Charles Lockhart of
Springfield, IL. in a GG tournament in Chicago in the late 40's.
Or George Washington of Hutchinson, Kan. landing a right to the jaw of Dick Maston also of Hutchinson, Kan. or, Johnny Izzo of Newark, NJ landing a solid whallop to the chin of Jerome Richardson of NY. Scrapbooks and newsclippings I have are loaded with articles on thousands of pugilists. So if you are looking for newsclippings on any of your favorite pugs, to complete your scrapbooks or to create one, or just to obtain infor on a particular fight, drop me an email, and together lets be of more help to one another.
And as always I am still searching for articles or emorabilia on the Muscato brothers Joe Phil, or Sam.

I think so...and if I do, that would be amongst the memorabilia I have in the attic. When I get up there I'll look and get back to you.

I have tons of material on Yvon Durelle and always looking for more. Yes, I have come across several of Durelle fans with nice scrapbooks, for which I have reproduced and archived in University archives.
