Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
TBH out of Alexander/Bradley/Urango I wouldnt be suprised if Khan outboxed 1 or 2 of them for a UD. We need a 140lb Super 6
Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
I don't like Amir Khan but he is not the weakest at 10st. Alexander imo is the weakest champ at 10st.
Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
I reckon Urango* would beat him, Bradley too ... nt sure about alexander?! Khan has more to do beforemaking judgment really.
*Anyone see his fight with bailey. cracking fight.

Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
140 is wide open, there is no dominate champion id fancy McCloskey against sny of the champions
Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
i think tim bradley has to be put down as teh number 1 at the division if pacquiao tsays at welter
Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
Is Khan next fight being shown on UK tv?
Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'

Okay, but let's see how McCloskey does with M'baye, (who I think is just about done in) and I bet if he wins it's not as impressive as Khan's drubbing of Kotelnik.
Amir's not being given the credit he deserves for leaving the UK and rebuilding his career under Freddie Roach's tutelage. If you had said right after the Prescott mauling tha in just his third fight after that he'd be wiping the floor so easily with Kotelnik, you'd have raised more than a few eyebrows. Fair enough he didn't spark him out but who has? Kotelnik's a world-class, tough-as-boots campaigner who I'd fancy to last the distance against most top fighters.
Khan just got caught very early against Brescott and yes doubts about his chin will linger until he beats a world-class puncher like, say, Urango, but you can't take anything away from how he's come back so quickly. He's a different fighter to the one who looked so disjointed and out of sorts early on in his career as he struggled to adapt to turning over from the amateurs.
And Salita's not bad for a first defence and Khan's still young.
Think Khan deserves to be given a break TBH and I'd take him to box the ears off Urango.

Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
IMO Bradley is nothing special. He squeaked by Witter and Witter was awful that night. I could honestly see Khan beating every other champ out there at 10st - its become a rather weak division compared to a few years ago when Judah, Tszyu, Gatti, Hatton, Harris and Cotto ruled the roost.

yeh urango vs bailey was a cracker. think khan would bat urango and alexander.not sure about bradley thoWales wrote:I reckon Urango* would beat him, Bradley too ... nt sure about alexander?! Khan has more to do beforemaking judgment really.

Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
Witter was no big deal at world level IMO and even during his 'peak' had a really tough night with
Colin Lynes who despite an excellent run, really was, no offence intended, nothing more than a good solid British champion...
You telling me Khan would have struggled with him on current form? (And Khan had a hell of an easier night with Kotelnik than Witter did. In fact I'd say Kotelnik Khan beat was better, more seasoned than the one Witter beat).
Not saying Khan's the greatest but think under Roach he's already become a formidable foe and is only going to get better.

Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
LWW's a good division Alexander, Bradley and Urango are good champs but I think Khan beats Urango but loses to the other 2 imo
Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
No way khan beats urango in my opinion.
Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
I'd have thought that someone as slow and wide open as McCloskey would be most fearful of Urango, who would flatten him, rather than slick boxers like Alexander and Khan who would both UD him, or a tough spoiler like Bradley, who'd probably stop him, maybe points if his chin's as good as some have said it is.

Even if he is the weakest, Khan beats him no problem.
Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
So, are we all agreed then gentleman? ![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
I dont think the other champs are that great to be honest - and could be decision'd by Khan. The lack of a big punch for Khan is the one thing that will be his eventual downfall. He has tightened his defence, has brilliant footwork and speed.

Re: McCloskey: 'Khan is the weakest champ at 10st'
alexander's the weakest for me. :>
urango would probably chin khan somewhere along the line.
khan could probably outbox him though if he could stay away.
bradley would be a bit too good i think.
that would be competitive though i reckon.

Why do you think McCloskey would beat Bradley. He hasn't faced one world class opponent. I think all three champions easily beat McCloskey. Khan, Bradley, Alexander are to fast and skilled, Urango is to strong and durable.
