Who watched and what did everyone think?

Thought Hamden was rather irritating.

Clenshaw beat Kani in a very disputed decision....even Josh didn't think he won and muttered bullshit when the decision was read....like a good sport he went and visited Kani.

Hamden walked around the house talking shite all night to other fighters, when the blue team won the right to pick he walked in and called everyone out....Jnr Taliepai was more than happy to oblige.

The jungle boy is a very messed up individual......my wife thinks he's funny though.

Initial jottings:

- Identical concept, music and family emphasis to the USA series but has a token female, one Charlotte Dawson in a "cougarsque" role.

- Garth Wood seemed very fit and keen.

- Jungle Boy looked like a pimp, was slow as a wet week in the fitness, was the recipient of some putdowns and is not a team player.

- As for the fight, which must have been a bore, it was shown heavily edited and the dispituted winner won't go much further on that showing.

- Nadar Hamden liked up to his surname and was the "ham" of the night.

I don't think Josh thought he didnt win, He said bullshit to the 50-45 scorecard.

This show really dosn't help with the footage they show, The show goes for 1 hour so why the fornicate cant they show the whole fight, Its only 20 mins long. Instead they show a few highlifghts so we have no idea who controlled the fight and who landed more punches.

My thoughts,

Charlotte Dawson seriously???????

Jungle Boy is a clown, a clown with no very very limited skills. How unfit is he????? wtf is the deal with his clothing seriously???

Nader Hamden, i liked what he was doing its good for the show. If you watched season 1 you would have seen Ishe Smith do the same thing to Ahmad Kuddour, David Banks and Paul Smith in season 3 so parts of it is scripted for some people the producers would have told them to to say.

I agree with Beltane it was a complete borefest, Israel Kani cannot not fight just watching him shadow box i was like wtf this dude doesnt know what he is doing. 50-45 was uncalled for but Josh won the fight (i dont see him going any further thou).

Lets stay tuned for next week.

It ain't going to happen, and the final will be contested live in January.

Can't leave it much later than late January early Feb......the concept would lose its punch.

Mind ya, given finalists supported by semis, finding an OZ promoter ain't going to be easy.
Quite a few were interested banking on result...but have now got second thoughts, if not heavily subsidised by Contender Producers, who in the past also got a cut out of live final proceeds.

That was truly a shite concept to allow 2 fighters automatic entry to the quarters, both Wood and Mculloch probably would have faced first round defeats instead Wood vs McCulloch in the Quarter allowed 2 of the most inexperienced fighters an incredible easy walk to the semis.

Who are the wankers that came up with that concept?????

Now they're going up there again to look for oil (claiming water) & probably intend to run pipes to Texas

This is the biggest issue IMO. Even my mates and blokes who aren't massive boxing fans couldn't believe that they could build it up for so long and then show the fight like that. It was rubbish. I'm sure there was one round there that we only saw about 15 seconds of. How are we supposed to know if the decision is right if they don't show the rounds!?!

For what its worth, from the highlights they did show, I thought Josh won 48-47...

I have no idea why we need an 80 year old looking Kiwi hosting our show.

Dino from underbelly was much better anyway.

I'm pretty sure the concept for this challenge came about because Fox reduced air time by 1 week so were going to cut the list from 14 to 12. Instead they decided to reward the 2 fittest guys.

Hi Marlin,
They couldn't show much of the fight this week because they had to do the introductions, challenge and show a bit about the fighters who were up. You'll see more from this point I'm sure. What you have to remember is that it is a reality show with a boxing theme, rather than a boxing show. It would be great if we could get the latter but it just wouldn't get the ratings at the moment so this is the next best thing.

One thing they should be congratulated for is putting the whole fight online. I don't think its been done before with the other versions.

Mate you're kidding yourself, he couldn't even beat this motley crew of inexperienced fighters.

Show me one world class fighter that he's beaten!

I was glad he was in the contender because i thought at least he was a decent fighter and it would be a break from Mundine beaten up Argies.

ATM Mundine will either fight a 6-1 fighter or a 21-7 fighter for the purse of 250000 thousand......if Oganov is to get back into the world ratings he needs a good victory.

I bet he got robbed in the contender though!!!, i don't know if any of these guys could beat him except hamdan maybe.

This english guy at this other forum i post at said mundine fights like his opponent has shit on his gloves, it's true :DD , oganov hits harder than most guys he has fought, so what would mundine do againts oganov if he fought like geale has shit on his gloves, he would run, i think if it went 12 mundine would win a ud though.

"He's a legitimate puncher, a very good power puncher," Reese said. "He's very easy to hit, though, but he hits hard, period.

Reese has been in with Edison Miranda and has sparred with top-shelf crackers such as O'Neil Bell and Julian "Mr. KO" Letterlough.

"Oganov punches harder than any of them," Reese said. "Is he ready for the next level? I couldn't say. But he always has a puncher's chance."
