Sexton vs Rogan THE REMATCH..

Post by terrez »

With all the goings on outside the ring since the last fight i'm interested to know your most recent predictions and thoughts on this one coming this Friday.

The last one Sexton gave allot more then most thought he would and Rogan didn't have the answer, then when he was desperate he caught Sexton in that faithful 8th round.

Their last fight was arguably one of the most exciting domestic heavyweight bouts in a long time, will this one be another thriller? Could be over quick one way or another with the emotions that will be throw along with the fists!!

I predict Sexton stoppage by the 9th. He will out box Rogan who I think will be too angry the first few rounds and loose them, Sexton will therefore be able to control the fight and ware Rogan down, Sexton did hurt Rogan last time out too.

I don't think Rogie boxed the way he really can in the first bout although it could be argued that Sexton didn't let him box! I thought he seemed off the pace and he seemed to be too intent on putting on a show for the home-town crowd and maybe tried too hard. I can't see Rogie getting hit as much in this fight and I think he will go on to stop Sexton in the 7/8th round.

I def cant see the fight going the distance either way and I think everyone will agree its going to be a cracker of a fight! :TU:

I think Sexton will win on points during a negative fight from Sexton as he knows Rogan has the power to hurt him and will be cautious working behind the jab and keeping Rogan at range. Sexton fairly wide on points

Preview article coming on this soon :TU:

Out of the ring antics have overshadowed the scrap but added to the drama. Interesting to see hoe Rogan comes in after training with McCullagh and whether he is heavier after leaving Breen's furnace-like gym. Also, will the eye hold up? So many subplots. I've gone for Rogie after 10. If he's still there pitching I just don't see Sexton's stamina holding up.

Great scrap though, cannot wait :bag:

I think its obvious that Sexton has the better skills than Rogan but imo he just hasn't got the chin required for a Heavyweight. He was all over the place in their first fight and his legs had completely gone. Rogan was nieve in that first encounter and didn't press home the advantage but I do not see him making the same mistakes, he has KO power and will eventually connect TKO'ing Sexton.

Fancy Rogie to put it beyond doubt this time and not stop punching until the ref has pulled him off.

Ooer, that sounds a bit unintentionally umm inappropriate.
