Not many UK pay per views have done that well recently, but think it could get over 250,000 but wouldn't be suprised if it gets around 100,000.

I think it really depends on how many people buy it because they just think it's a freak show, because is Haye really a big name yet? I would think if it was agianst anyone else (apart from the Klits) it would struggle to get 100,000.

Well if you are from Australia I would have to say.... 0 buys!! We dont get the chance to see it!! Our pay per view channels
Main Event are showing -- DAWSON V JOHNSON and Setanta Australia are not showing the fight!! Not happy for a HAYEMAKER fan down under!!

Very hard to say, depends what deal he has negotiated or himself. He probably is getting little or nothing from the live gate.

As Haye is a promotional free agent, I presum Booth has negotiated a deal with SKy PPV. What percentage that would amount to, is pure speculation.

I expect the PPV to do between 100-200,000 buys, if i does more than that, then they should be very pleased for themselves indeed.

I think Booth and Haye have done a first rate job promoting this fight, I've been impressed at how much energy they have invested. I don't think it will affect haye, I think he thrives on it.

People who are predicting under 250,000 have no understanding of how a PPV Event works.

This event has had heavy media coverage on both Sky and The Scum newspaper which is seen and read by around 10 million people between them. On top of that pretty much every Broadsheet and Tabloid has had major coverage plus has been entensively featured on various BBC and ITV programs featuring David Haye interviews.

Every fight has to have a 'SELLING POINT' to make the Buyer part with their £15 and this fight has that USP of 'DAVID against GOLIATH'. Haye the young handsome articulate British fighter in against a 7FT Beast(media portrayal, not my words) of a man is just an Easy sell and the less people know about Valuev being nothing special the better.

The is the kind of fight that the 'CASUAL'S' who maybe watch 1 fight every few years will watch, these same 'CASUAL'S' probably last watched Hatton vs Mayweather which did 1.5 million PPV's which is astonishing when you consider the fight was on at 4am and i'm sure Haye can do at least a third of that figure at 10pm peak time viewing.

Sure Hatton had a far bigger fanbase but i'd say the level of Media coverage for the Haye fight has now surpassed that especially as its a lot cheaper to send someone to Germany to report on the fight plus being able to get the fight into print the next day.

I predicted earlier in the week that Haye vs Valuev could do at least 500,000 PPV's, i'm now going to say that it will do at least that and maybe alot more and fall somewhere into the 750,000-1,000,0000 bracket. The only thing that can keep the PPV's down is if the X-Factor run's over into 10pm and stops men from switching over to see the Fight and i'm being serious about that.

My dad, who first got me interested in the sport in the days of Benn - Eubank, but hasn't really watched a fight since boxing went off terrestrial tv in the 90's is talking about getting this one on.

He hasn't even seen a Ricky Hatton fight and probably wouldn't even be considered a casual fan now but he's getting excited about it.

I think it'll do very well in terms of buys but i haven't voted because ppv numbers rarely become public knowledge so i've got little to compare it to.

Its going to be 500k plus for sure - we're talking about a heavy weight world title fight (the first exciting on for 6 years) involving a Brit, a Russian (Valuev is considered Russias biggest sporting hero) and he fights out of germany thats got to be big business.

Well i was certainly gonna buy it but i have to go to a bonfire with the missis, a guy i work with has to got to one too with his wife n kids, as daft as it sounds, with it being an early start this could seriously affect numbers. Does any one know if there will be a re run that can be bought say after 12 or the next morning? I know they show fights that start at silly o'clock in the USA again.
