Mads Larsen v Brian Magee Euro title jan 30

Looks like Magees waiting around has paid off. I really hope it goes through, even hope more he wins.

I think they are both technically great southpaws. I would favour Larsen slightly being in Denmark, but after 51 fights you gotta ask how fresh is he, and if Magee performs the way he did v steve maguire i think he'll stop him late.

good luck Brian

Ryan Air have pretty cheap flights from Stansted to Aarhus Airport if anyone want to go. Hotel Rooms costs from around £40.

No, but it does get demolished next week.

Mads Larsen has been around longer than TB.

odd fight.

Larsen wins I guess? Am I right in saying he has been embroiled in promoter issues or is that someone else? Anyway, who knows what he has left. All I know is he was one of a variety of men to be robbed blind vs Ottke - and that he looked pretty promising for a while before that but never really fought anyone.

I'd still like to see Larsen vs Kessler. One of the few fighters who can feel geniunally aggreived at the scoring in a Sven Ottke fight.

Good cross roads fight, with 6 of the fighters tied up in the Super Six, Bute and Stieglitz do not have many good options - so maybe the winner can go on to get a world title fight.

Tough to call, I think Magee is fresher, but prime for prime I would have gone for Larsen.

Larsen UD.

I hope Magee wins this one but he's up against it. Same as a few years back with Tsypko - European title, away from home, Sauerland promotion. It's a tough call.

As for Kessler-Larsen Stu, do you think that would be competetive given the direction both careers have gone? Larsen V Rudy Markussen seems closer to the mark.

I think Kessler would be favoured pretty heavily, but its a good fight still.

Kind of similar to Witter vs Hatton, immediately after Hatton beat Tszyu. I think Larsen is significantly better then Markussen.

I'm mainly championing a fight with Kessler because of Larsen hasn't been given the opportunities he deserves.
