Woods-Johnson delayed!
By Keith Holland
Clinton Woods' IBF light-heavyweight eliminator against Glencoffe Johnson, scheduled to take place this coming Friday in Sheffield England, has been called off due to Woods suffering a hand injury. A spokesman for the camp told Fightnews that "the ligament has come away from the knuckle, there is also the possibility of a hairline fracture to the hand". Woods will be desperately upset by yet another final eliminator being postponed and will be hoping the damage heals quickly. The bill will still go ahead in Sheffield on Friday night with the British/Commonwealth cruiserweight title bout between Mark Hobson and Robert Norton, elevated to top of the bill status.

yes it does suck this fight has been called off,

woods johnson would of been a great fight, looks like we will have to wait a couple of months before this fight can take place again,

woods is not far off another world title shot, unless roy jones has his way, if he fights tarver next

McCoy couldnt agree more Goz, although at first McCoy wanted Woods to win he was gonna put on a little bet that Johnson would win this fight in an upset

Woods should win, Johnson is little more than a solid, tough journey man.

If Woods doesn't win, then the US critics prior to the Jones fight were right, he doesn't cut the mustard at world level.

I still think he does and he'll win by a clear, if not always confortable UD.

I also think he'll beat Tarver, Michaelswescki still might be his hardest fight unless Jones DOES move back down.

I'd love to see Woods vs Calzaghe at Light Heavy.
