green can't win by points

Post by Eric t »

The only way he can win by points is if jones is gun shy or he scores about 4 knockdowns, jones is too quick for him.
Some aussies on boxing forums are hoping jones spanks him because green charges $50 for his ppv's even when he fights garbage
He should be paying us to watch some of them
I wouldn't count green out, he has that david haye type power, when he lands clean his opponents legs go and jones is catching on a bit and he goes on the ropes a lot know but he is still crafty, he knows tricks to take away the power, when lacy was throwing them hooks jones was turning his head and that took the power out of the hooks

Mundine fights more crap than green but he fights more often, domiguez was certainly better quality than the guy mundine just fought, they both step up now and then, lets not forget in the last few years mundine has fought soliman, hamdan and geale, quality guys, and he is going to fight geale again, i'm sure in the back of his head he knows it is a risky fight, so he is willing to step up and take risks still.

Really he should be fighting guys like miranda if he wants to become big on the world scene, as good as geale is he is a unknown on the world stage

A lot of people thought Green could not outpoint Drewes, but he won by a wide margin on all cards.

Somehow I doubt that this fight will go to points.

I think Green can win on points. Effective aggressiveness !! RJJ has done little lately (yes I know Green hasnt done much either). I recently watched RJJ against Tarver, who nobody thought could beat him, and then against Johnson and then get busted up against calzaghe to only beat a middleweight in Lacey. Don't get me wrong RJJ is dangerous but if he throws and land 20 meaningless punches a round and Danny lands two to five meaningful punches we could be in for a close points decision. If DG keeps him going backwards I believe he can have a verygood night on the scorecards....hey, but if I had to outlay any cash I am still betting on a DG TKO/KO about rnd 8.

Jones did opt not to engage with Calzaghe for a good part of there fight and Calzaghe has about half the punching power as Danny although quicker, people shouldn't right this off, I'm a Green man all the way, i think if Danny settles into the fight slowly then come's on about middle of round 3 he could surprise Roy and unsettle him.
