Glyn Rhodes Show Today

Post by pyenest77 »

Really fancied going to some boxing today I looked through the Boxrec fights & looked at Glyn Rhodes, but having looked at the fight card that has to be the worst ever show. The away boxers are the most abysmal bunch ever & I am now content to give it a miss & wait for Friday when I cross the pennines to watch Hattons bill in Wigan.
Glyn I know you have to build your fighters records but that card is shocking!

Snap.
I usually go to all the Sheffield shows but I'm saving it for the cracking Wigan card.

Take it you were with Wilcox, no way did Wilcox win 5 out of 6 rounds and the last round was Wilds by 2 points because he put Wilcox down.

I was there, thought it was an ok show. Rasani too good for Billy Boyle. Thought the Carl Wild fight was close but with the knock down he just nicked it. Chris Woollas should retire. Ross the boss did a good enough job but got caught with some good shots though.

From the reports it looked like it was a good show, maybe you have an agenda here! Glyn has a reputation for putting decent shows on

No agenda here. Just not willing to put my hard into a very poor show.
Look at the Boxrecs reporters line at the bottom & that sums it up!!!

He meant he would rather put his money into the boxing than football which hardly supports your argument.

So there's a local Sunday show, and you think to yourself, you know what, I'm so incensed I think I'll register myself on Boxrec, voice my displeasure and have a dig at the Promotor.
No agenda - yeah right.

Howard was spot on with his card for the Wild - Wilcox bout. It was the scoring of the Rasani - Boyle fight I questioned.

However Howard has messaged me and explained his view point which I think is fair enough.

I do tend to agree with the original poster- on paper, match ups such as these have little appeal unless a person is a personal friend or family member of one of the fighters.

But then- thats the market they are aiming at - same with the VIP shows.

Also, I think there was a decent fight planned too, with a pull out.
