shame about the purdy fight that was shaping up to be a good scrap.
Is fury fighting tonight?
Think Barkers going to take this title comfortably!

They haven't mentioned Fury so I'm assuming he's off the bill.
ITV are certainly pushing El Maachi here

what a belting little fight..........big auld fat robbery shaft job coming up here.......
never heard of Bailey but I've seen Barnes once.
Expect Barnes to suffer more in the 4th and get a "draw"

'Super bad' is a pretty apt nickname for Barnes
Where was his defence?

can't be too harsh on the lad, only 18 and in his 4th fight. I got the impression he was a KO artist that was going to bully and KO them for a bit. Was certainly making big noises last time I saw him on TV about 9 months ago.
over reliant on the right hand tonight and came apart when Bailey fought back
a good right hand can take you round the corner, a good jab can take you round the world.

I know he wont, but Barnes could do with going back to the ams for a few seasons to allow his boxing and body to mature. This result could go one of too ways - it will either make him more determined than ever to succeed or it will kill off any love he has for the game.

I wish somebody would inform Rent-a-Yank on the mic that "right now" and "at this time" are the same bloody thing.
at least we won't be getting TOYSON Fury as well.

agree, its how he comes back, maybe a return to the am's for a couple of years wouldn't hurt.

yeah, but i think thats what he's gonna have to be to beat Barker, he isn't going to outbox him, needs to drag him into a maul.

Barker's just sticking Butler on the end of that long jab and the away man is finding it increasingly difficult to get inside and land. I think by the mid-rounds Barker should be measuring him for a stoppage.

Barker is looking sharp as a razor tonight - his timing and sense of distance are impeccable. He is a classy fighter to watch and is dealing with Butler's spoiling perfectly.

Aye, Barker is a class above here. Of course, we all knew that anyway, but it's still good to watch.

different levels of course but Barker resmbles Joe Calzaghe a little bit to me. He has good poise and ring generalship and he only throws shots which are measured, he doesn't waste many shots.

Why was the fight stopped?
Did I miss something?

Bollocks stoppage that one from Richie. Butlers corner had given him one last round and he was having a good go. This isnt amateur boxing - that was a title fight and should not have been stopped. His corner would have pulled him out at the end of the round, if necessary.
