ok, so who is and isnt paying for the Khan PPV?

Post by bad mamma jamma »

have seen plenty posts on here from people saying they are not paying for the Khan bill..and I am one of them. But as it gets closer to fight night, who is getting jittery and having second thoughts about buying it? I am, and I know I will hate myself for paying those scumbags at Sky more money if I do...do I risk a dodgy stream connection, wait for it to be replayed next week or buy it live? Last tim I boycotted a PPV bill was Hatton v Lazcano..turned out to be a good decision, will this one be the same?

I'll be buying it great undercard with Simpson, Mitchell, The 3 Olympians and the main event. The main event isnt worth £15 on it's own but the whole card is worth it imo

I would happily buy this but i don't have Sky.

Adam, I can't understand how the bill topper doen't interest you. Enzo and Degale do fck ll for me, but do u not think Khan has any skill level worth watching at all?? And Salita?? He's a US amteur champ. He will bring Khan plenty to deal with. It will be a cracking contest imo.

I usually always buy PPV's, I just cant resists it on the night - a few beers and the decision is made. Although I bought Khan-Kotelnik, I haven't bought any of Khans other PPV fights as the fights are simply not PPV quality. Khan, depsite what he thinks, is not popular enough or a big enough name to sell a fight on his own (ala Hatton) so he needs a quality match up for it to be considered PPV.

i'm buying it, not because i get excited about khan fights but rather to keep up to date on the big fights in the UK. with me doing christmas overtime, an extra £15 on the bill isn't too harsh.

khan v hatton and khan v marquez would be much more interesting and marketable PPV fights, i would think.

i usually watch a boxing on a stream but my m8 is getting the fight and i'm willing to make a five contribution to watch it on a telly.

good value considering three live 12 rounders including Khan and highlights of the Olympians.

Saturday night is all about a bottle of Morgan's Spice and the boxing for me.

Is Salita that bad? I've always thought he was a tidy boxer.

Like a mug I pay every time. I like the build up and the shPt that goes with it.

I`m back in Blighty this weekend though, so will have to find a boozer with all on.

Im going to watch it on a stream, I tend not to buy any events that Fwank is involved in! Im very childish altogether.

Really looking forward to Mitchell-Prescott, not overly bothered with Khan-Salita but will watch it for the small chance Khan will get sparked again.

I will probably buy it. It doesn't look great, but it has some decent fights on the card.

They better bloody show the undercard fights this time, or I won't be buying a Warren PPV again for a while.

My Sky HD box blew up a few days ago and the engineer doesn't arrive until next Saturday.

I noticed the fight was advertised at a local boozer though so I'll probably watch it there. More for the Prescott-Mitchell fight (9pm ish) though.

I wouldn't say that it's worth it, but it's not bad value if you split the price three or four ways with mates, like I will be doing. I hate to admit it, but I've watched all of his fights that were televised live on the night since his debut, apart from st claire fight.. I don't know why but I enjoy the hype around him, and you never know what's going to happen in a khan fight .. :box:

If you put a "watching it in the pub" option on there you'll probably get a few votes.
I'm going to watch the Huck fight on TV, or tape it, then head to the local and watch it, and hopefully the fight of the night Mitchell/Prescott.

Anyone know the times for Mitchell and Khan yet?
