Spike v Healy for the Irish middleweight title tonight

If Spike doesnt put Healy away inside the distance then there is little chance of him progressing much further.

I wouldn't neccesarily write him off if he doesn't stop Healy, think it would be a bit unfair on him. Healy can be a stubborn so and so when he is arsed which is not often! Think O'Sullivan will put him away around the 6th. Regretting not going to it as its not often boxing comes down this end of the country but could only afford tickets for the National Stadium tomorrow night. :box:

Spike will stop Healy if he has anything about him: http://news.boxrec.com/news/2009/last-m ... -cork-show

Macklin to win on points or stop Pintos late IMO: http://news.boxrec.com/news/2009/mackli ... eat-pavlik

I was toying with the Cork show but a wee bit too far. I'm at the stadium tomorrow night so tap me on the shoulder if you're about (in a friendly way of course!) :DD

You mean Murray? I rang him before the McCloskey fight to gauge some info on Rasilla and he didn't seem to be returning on this bill, but obviously his injury must be better if he's on. Looking forward to Garcia but shame that Conlan and Murtagh are both off.

Only four fights on the Cork show. I rang Paschal Collins on Monday and he told me that the show was off but he had yet to inform the boxers'. Then they found this last-minute sponsor and it's back on. Hoping to see Ian Tims move onwards; wasn't he a five time national amateur champion?

Will do, I'll be the one walking around with the black eye and swollen lip although being in the Stadium I doubt I'll be the only one

Spike vs Healy was a tough fight!
Spike landed much the better & more powerful shots even though it seemed Healy landed more but Spike blocked most.
Spike had a clear game plan to out box Healy which he did so game plan was effective.
Spike looked very powerful in there last night.
He obviously really stepped up his power training programme.
His strength & conditioning trainer did a good job on him.
Anybody know who his conditioning / strength trainer is?
Paschal Collins trains him in Boxing i know but want to know his conditioning / strength trainers name if anyone out there knows?
