Fight Schedule Sep-Dec 2004: Has it ever been better?

Post by MightyWarrior »

Just look at the Sep-Dec line-up:

Sep 13 - Oscar v Mosley

Sep 27 - Pacheco v Kelly ( not fantastic but interesting to see how he gets on in Puerto Rico )

Oct 4th -
Las Vegas: Morales v Espada - plus 3 world title fights
Las Angeles: Holy v Toney / Casamayor v Corrales
London: Walker Euro Shot

Oct 18th:
Manchester: Brodie v Chi
Hamburg: Darius v Gonzalez / Sanders v Brewster

Oct 25th: Arthur v Gomez

Nov 1st - Mayweather v NDou / Margarito v TBA ( and maybe Gainer v Marquez )

Nov 8th - Barrera v PacMan

Dec 6th - Vitali v TBA ( could be Johnson & HBO will likely build a good bill around it )

Dec 13th:
AC: Hopkins v Joppy / Mayorga v Spinks
Manchester: Hatton v TBA :-? - Witter gets a title shot??
Germany: Ottke v TBA :-?

Many more but those are the ones that caught my eye. Looks like as good a line-up as we've seen in ages.

If you could choose to be ringside for one, which would it be?

Think I'd go for MAB/PacMan at the Alamo :D

I would like to witness Arthur-Gomez from ringside. That could be a cracker.

You should get along for that one bennie, not too far for you is it? Bound to be a war while it lasts.

When ( if? ) Arthur fights with a big title on the line at Edinburgh Castle I'll defintely be there.

Night of the.. is same night as Williams v Spott.

Hope the Woods fights goes ahead this time too, he should win but not an easy fight.

That's excellent. After the drought let the floodgates open and the feasting commence! Looks like a good fight card every other week to take us up to Christmas.

I think most will be shown on UK TV, either on the Beeb, Sky or Eurosport eventually.

However, how many have got the all important TBC next to them. Hopkins vs Joppy, Spinks vs Mayorga (read the James Hare Welterweight news thread), Jones vs Tarver, none of these are confirmed.

I was quite surprised that Bunce and Inverdale were talking about Jones and Tarver like its set in stone, its NOT. I have heard that Jones has put on a lot of wait and alot of 'in the know' people have said that he'll never see Lightheavy again. He's apparently eating like crazy.

No he's not done a Naz, but seems to be preparing to end his career at Heavyweight.
