Mayweather gets slaughtered over radio
What a cracking piece of entertainment, i could not have dreamed up a better scenario. Its the kind of ass ripping that i had wished Calzaghe had gotten several times over during his career but never did. This stuff makes the infamous Brian Kenny piece look like childsplay!

For my money the guys right on mark. No matter what Mayweather does with his career over the next few years, he wont ever fully redeem himself in my view for the level of oposition he has choosen to face over the last ten years.
I hope Pacquiao does a number on him!

That will explain the lack of attention this one has gotten then.
Whats the dudes gangster credentials got to do with it. He handed Mayweather his ass in great style and should be commended for it. The Pulitzer prize is what he deserves.

Some people think you can't be a talented rapper or gangster if your white.

It doesn't matter who he fights. No one has the keys to open him up. He ruined hatton, he was never the same after he fought floyd. Marquez was suddenly a fat old man after floyd made him look ordinary. They are talkin about his victory over Delahoya and comparing his and pacmans performances against the same fighter. Are we forgetting that when pacman fought Delahoya, Delahoya was fighting at his lowest weight in years and was just a shell. Floyd moved up to fight him and was outweighed by Delahoya on the night. Every fighter floyd has fought he has beaten. Corralles, Castillo (who he gave a rematch to after it was close first fight and then obliterated him in the return). Pacman may be the man of the moment, but floyd is still the man to beat!

There are some cardinal sins among the fighters Mayweather HASN'T fought during his career.
He was certainly reluctant to move above Super-Feather til Mosley left Lightweight, Tyszu got beat at Light-Welter.
And once at Welterweight - how can Mitchell, Baldomir, Judah, Hatton and JMM be rated as greater risks than Cotto, Margarito, Williams and Mosley?
As for the journey to Light-Middle - terrific result against DLH.....but where again was Mosley or Winky.
He's not cherry picked, but he's certainly had some convenient timing.
The interviewer is right, he has too many asterixs to rate alongside SRL, Hearns or Duran for legacy.

And he didn't even have the deceny to make weight against JMM despite the Mexican leaping from Lightweight to Welter.
Re: Mayweather gets slaughtered over radio
He has no shame, at least its appearing that way. His apparent dodging, cherry picking, and handicapping of fighters is what he seems to think is today's world of boxing, where making massive money against minimum risk is everything.DavidPayne wrote:And he didn't even have the deceny to make weight against JMM despite the Mexican leaping from Lightweight to Welter.
I think he's convinced himself he's pimping the sport, and therefor, in his world, he has no reason to be ashamed. Thats one theory anyway

What people dont understand about boxing is fights are not easy to make and opponents what big rewards for taking on the number 1 in the game. You say he didnt move to 135 until Mosley left the division, which is true but he actually tried to fight Mosley while he was at 130 but Mosley got the DLH fight instead. While at 130lbs he was trying to get fights with a Welterweight Delahoya and Naseem Hamed. Mosley also turned down a fight with Mayweather in 2006, Margarito turned Mayweather down in Spring 2006. Mayweather was also accused of ducking Hatton and PacquaioDavidPayne wrote:There are some cardinal sins among the fighters Mayweather HASN'T fought during his career.

marquez was never, nor will he ever be, a welterweight. the fight was a joke. a lucrative one.bynino wrote:It doesn't matter who he fights. No one has the keys to open him up.
